Weird :/
I don't understand why i get 1.99Go when i use override.
Any idea ?
whats ur strap?
does it have this problem in cpu z?
1067Strap.
No "prob" with cpu-z (2048Mo)
It's only with window property.
Default = 2.00Go
Override (1% - 50%) =1.99Go
It's not a real problem (6h ortho stable).

But i'd like to know why i get 1.99 when i use ovverride.
how does one go about getting bios 1378? i currently only have 1351... just getting the rig going - e6700/badaxe1351/4gb ram.
have a couple of questions about my ram, also...
i purchased 4gb of ocz ram from tiger or egg (cant remember now... id have to dig up receipts)... got 2 packs of OCZ26672048ELDCGE-K, and one pack has the gold perforated heatspreaders, and the other pack has the solid "old-school" ones. the product number on both the packages and the stickers on the RAM are identical, yet they are not cosmetically identical. also, when i go into my bios, under the advanced>chipset config>memory config it shows this
on the ram sticks themselves, the timings say 4-4-4-12Quote:
Memory Channel A
Slot 0: 1024MB (DDR2 667) SPD: 5.0-5-5-15
Slot 1: 1024MB (DDR2 667) SPD: 4.0-4-4-15
Memory Channel B
Slot 0: 1024MB (DDR2 667) SPD: 5.0-5-5-15
Slot 1: 1024MB (DDR2 667) SPD: 4.0-4-4-15
the bios settings are on automatic, and they show 533@4-4-4-12
im about to o/c this thing, and im worried a bit over what the "Total Memory" area is reporting about the differences between the two packs of RAM.
I ordered identical sets, they listed as identical packs, yet they are physically different in the heat spreaders, and they are listing something different in my bios. is this anything to really be concerned with? it LOOKS like i was duped.
any ram gurus want to chime in on this?
thanks in advance!
trip.
You can still get the 1378 BIOS here:Quote:

And concerning the RAM, I would advice you to contact OCZ directly and ask them what's it all about with the different SPD information. Personally, I think that they just programmed some sticks with slower timings in order to make them more compatible. On the other hand the chips could be different, too.
Anyway you shouldn't have too much problems as long as you set the timings manually.
thank you on both accounts.... however, the link to the bios page is in chinese (i think... looks FUNKY), and i cannot read as to which link to select. maybe i dont have a language pack or something.
and i will call ocz (today hopefully)... and see what they have to say.
on that note... i installed 4GB of RAM into my computer, but windows xp pro shows only 3GB of it... im assuming that it is because its a 32-bit program, and cannot see past 3072MB... so, is having 4GB a waste? im not too worried about it, since it wasnt that expensive.
sorry if this now belongs in a memory forum.
trip
Concerning the 4GB "problem", you are absolutely right. It's a lmitation of the 32-bit OS. I wouldn't say that the 4GB are a waste then, because you can keep them for a long time until you upgrade and most likely you'll have a 64-Bit OS then.Quote:

btw... i know there was some hoopla about monitoring software like everest not being compatible with the badaxe.... is there any general agreement as to what software is the best... anyone have any success or failures with specific software? i have everest on my laptop, and i have rightmark on it also... but i dont want to put anything on my desktop that will hinder anything...
again.. thanks in advance.
trip.
I have everest 2006 professionl...i dont have any problems at all.
it read my bad axe fine. no crashes no wrong info...everything works fine
i have mobo rev 305
I have worst luck ever. Board now will not respond to vcore voltage after crashing with everest. trimmer for vcore wont even work neither. :(
Had that happen a few times..... try removing the battery for a few minutes, that was the only way I got the Vcore to respond again.Quote:

Yep. I tried in hopes that it would fix the Everest issue but it still sets vCore to default. Lavalys told me that it's BIOS issue.
I didn't follow all the BIOSes. Did they ever release a BIOS with more than 50% overclock on the 1066 MHz strap?
^^^ I would love a bios like that, I clockgenning in windows. :)
And looking at the changelog of the new bios, it does not even remotely shed light into alot of problems I have. :)
Speaking of Clockgen, which ICS is on the BadAxe 1, anyway?Quote:

A couple of days ago I flashed the new 1441 BIOS.
Since the flash, I have noticed that working in ULEAD VideoStudio 9 wasn't as smooth as before.
What caught my eye though was when it took an hour and a half to encode and burn a two hour video to a DVD. {I run the E6600 at stock FSB }
I hesitate making this post, because I really don't have much benchmarking data stored before or after the flash. But something does seem amiss.
Anyone else notice any encoding performance changes after the flash?
People... noob questiom:
Which are differences between Bad Axe 1 and Bad Axe 2?
1441 did it fix everest/sandra reset vcore issue ?Quote:
