Why did I do it?
Because I looked at the situation and decided it was a good opportunity. It was worth the risk and after my evaluation of the situation I decided the risk is very small since its fareastgq we are talking about.
Because you cant really get an RD pump from a merchant because they dont sell them. I called a few suppliers I know off and they all told me the same thing. Basically they told me the RD pumps were made with pc cooling in mind and simmilar purposes and they just deal in pumps that are for aquarium purposes. After trying for a long time and not finding anywhere I could buy one, price aside I would have paid $500 for one at that point probbably if I found one for sale somewhere. Then I saw this thread, lucky for me too, I cought it ont he last day, can get one period and at a good price too.
One of the people I talked to who missed the buy said he faoud a distributor buy they charge $500 so thats pretty steep. It probbably varies but were are saving maybe $50-150.
And I know we will be getting them soon, its just with a custom order it takes a while, from my understanding they had to order from japan as had none in stock since the RD30 is suck a rare item for anyone to want, so not only are they making them for us its all the way in japan. So far they are 2 weeks behind what they promised, which isnt that bad and isnt fareastgqs fault in any way.
That and phelan1777 will break fareastgqs legs if he doesnt get his pump :D
:( I believe this is the 3rd deliverly date that has come & gone with disapointment. fareastgq said he spoke to Brian who said "FOR SURE" they would be here by the 14th. You would think we would have at least gotten an email, or a post on the forum, explaining what was going on... Does anyone know the name of the company the pumps were ordered from? I would like to speak to Brian.
I don't believe this is fareastgq's falt...
Sorry for the double post, but this invoice that he posted doen't tell us much... looks like all the important information has been scratched out.
I called the vendor from whom I originally purchased my RD-20, and they have RD-30's available to ship. I'm not sure what the issue is with fareast's supplier.
Did anyone get an email from the mystery person whos supposed to handle this?

Well, I hope not. That would be the final kick in the face, tbh I've been regreting spending this much money on a pump in the last month, there's many ways I could have used this cash, but o well...
I hope all this we'll be a bad dream when u're installing your pumps but i'm a bit suspicious...
How about the 2 people that got the RD-20's, does anyone know who they were? Maybe they got a reciept or an invoice along with their pumps, or maybe they know where the pumps were purchased from. If we could find out where they were ordered from I could get the number & call this "Brian" to find out what is going on...
on the other hand my optimistic attitude is slowly dieing out :(

I watched CSI last night & I got an idea from them... why not UNCHOP fareastgq's invoice, so I worked on for a while & this is what I got so far... I'll work on it some more tonight, but I have to stop for now to go to work. I think we can get enough information from the invoice that he posted to find out his address & phone number. Not too paranoid here. I don't think there is any malintent on his part... I just would like to know what's going on. You would think he would have told us who was going send us what we paid for, but no one seems to know anything & we are all just left hanging. If we could find his address & phone number maybe we find out more...
