Just ordered the X2 4400+, OCZ Powerstream 520 and DFI expert board today he told me I can get all of them by tomorrow. I doubt that he gives me the right detail but I will let you guys know if I actually did (i am still doubting).

Thats not necessary man. You have to understand nothing stays top dog for long. Next year at this time the new wave of M2 mobos will be out. Most will suck or be buggy. Remember the A64 boards? No locks. It is going to take a while for everyone to figure out which settings yield greatest OC. But 2-3months after even better boards and CPUs will come out for M2.That is the best time to buy. IMHO best time to buy the sckt 939 was with release of FX-57 and the DFI ultra-d or sli-drQuote:

And that semi-mess with socket 939 and more than 2 GB RAM needs cleaning up. Usin 4 sticks in 939 is not consumer-proof reliable enough.
Got a reply from my distro and apparently I am right, they've made a mistake. Anyways, I will be waiting for this baby to arrive and hopefully soon enough after delaying for about a month.
I already have 2 rigs running and I am waiting for the M2 to come out so that I can have a third one. Of course I won't sell any of my rigs. They're all used 24/7. Talk about multi-tasking. :slobber:
Well im buying a FX-57 and with a Vapochill modded by bb mods I should be able to push 3.4~3.5ghz 24/7 if I am lucky. I dont want to wait a year or even 8months for the M2. I am tired of my signature rig. Dont have the prommy any more though.
let the man take his time, some of these comments were truly ridiculous. wow.
anyways a more regular comment related to this mobo. i dunno if this has been posted before: will the board offer a bios with options similar to the crossfire board? small increment steps on the voltages and vdimm up to 4ish volts?
Well Bytewise supposed got some in already and are selling. Beware cause the shipping charges are very steep. Passed on trying it out to see if they were telling the truth or not when I saw the shipping.
6 days - ~$120
11 days - ~$34
That is a little much for me. Have at it if you want to try it out.

If you mean mine then your mistaken beause that is always the issue. Many have experiences this and agree.Quote:

I'm wondering whether this delay is to add new features (maybe they're worried about the competition releasing 16x/16x SLI) or whether they're just fixing mistakes.
I doubt the delay is a result of a massive change to the product (such as a completely different chipset arrangement for 16x 16x SLi). Most likely, Oskar needs a break and the board is being reviewed and tested for the ugly issues that reared their heads after the SLI-DR was released.Quote:

I just wanted to apologize if my posts went off topic. Won't happen again. :D

DFI is getting their SLI-DR Expert board ready for mass availability this week and will use the current nForce 4 SLI chipset instead of the new nForce 4 SLI X16 chipset. Reason cited is that there is no performance benefit running two x16. The layout of the SLI-DR Expert board is different from the current one with changes made to the CPU socket, DIMM slots, PWM area. According to DFI, it is meant to improve overall heat dissipation. The x16 slots are now wider and the SLI mode is digitally controlled that will bring more convenience to the SLI users. The emphasis of this board is on the memory aspect where it can support 4 sticks of 1GB DDR400 memories at 1T. The memory voltages option in the BIOS is further enhanced with finer steppings for eg. 2.80, 2.83, 2.87, 2.9V.Quote:

good news! u need to work on ur reading skill... did you not read there are other numerous improvements?Quote:

also, expect the bios to be tweaked more for high density sticks or utt sticks rather then low density TCCD, lower overall tccd clocks but it should provide better performance atlower voltages with better timings... maybe itll even equal out in the end... just look at the RDX-200, imo itll be just like that...
You seemed to have missed the pack of similar thoughts in the last 20 pages. :slap:Quote:

almost every socket 939 board supports dual core. I don't see why it has to be this one in particular. Unless this is the only board u want.
Yeah even My MSI K8T Neo2-F supports dual core and the 9.2 Bios has support built in too and yes I have 9.2 in the Bios, I have other things to spend money on before I get an X2 cpu, Such as this small list:
1. $248.68 1-AMD 246 E4 Opteron 2.0GHz cpu(OSA246BLBOX/Dec 2005)
2. $_15.00 Scratching Post(for Angel My cat, Jan 2006)
3. $107.00 Car Insur renewal(Jan 2006)
4. $109.70 Enermax EG651P-VE FMA 550w psu(for zoom2, Feb 2006)
5. $248.68 1-AMD 246 E4 Opteron 2.0GHz cpu(OSA246BLBOX/Mar,[117.51],Apr[117.52],May[13.65]2006)
6. $106.00 Install AC Clutch(Lube express, Barstow CA,May[101.30], Jun[4.70] 2006)
7. $345.30 Fix Car AC (Barstow @ Norms Garage, Jun[135.3],Jul[70],Sep[140] 2006)
8. $194.00 Car Insur renewal, Smog and DMV(Jul[70],Aug[124] 2006)
9. $799.00 AMD Athlon64 X2 4800 2.4GHz cpu(for zoom2, Oct-Dec06,Feb-Apr07[133.17x6])
Or $2173.36 for everything, Of course this could change, But It would require a check to come from My Aunt for Chistmas(Which she usally does as I'm Her only living blood relative and Yes She can afford that much about every 6 months or so), But I don't see that happening at all anytime soon due to Her having a stroke recently that affected Her Memory, At least She remembers who I am so far and may remember to do what She said She'd do around December money wise(It was Her suggestion, Who am I to refuse such a gift?).
So My plate is pretty full already, All the way into 2007. :brick:
Yep, its the only one I want. I only am allowed a new system every 2 years according to the wife, so I gotta make em count. And I want the one with the best potential for overclock since I have to stretch it...heheQuote:
