This is all I've been able to get 32M stable so far with my Ballistix 2x 1gb. And for what ever reason cant get CPUZ to ID the memory manafacture ??

Guys, I've confirmed what I suspected. I changed out my X2 4400+ and put my SD 3700+ back in my work rig so I can play with my X2 and Vapo LS this weekend.

Anyway, my SD can run at 285mhz with this Ballistix at 10x without any errors. So it is without any question the individual memory controller of your A64 that will determine what your able to do with 2gig's more than anything else. I'm out of time right now with this setup and have to go to my other house for the weekend but I'll post some findings for ya the first part of next week.

Just thought I'd let you know, I've spent alot of time banging my head over trying to get 280x10 to run with my X2 and it had nothing to do with the memory ! lol

1GB modules @ 300 I would assume..... Until Ballistix it was unheard of that I know of. I was shocked and amazed at the performance, am just very happy they did 250 as designed.

Hi all,

i thought this thread could use some more 'value' additions... so i took the 2x 1GB sticks i ordered for a friend out for a quick test drive :fact:

2x Buffalo DD4333-1G/MD, Micron 5B-D Chips

Clocked CPU (3000+ Winnie) down to only test RAM and got them to run at 250, 3-3-3-8 1T, 2.7V without testing timings (mostly default/auto) on a Lanparty Ultra-D.

Played some demanding games a few hours and seems stable (with normal case airflow) and of cause SP32 stable.

Edit: And a little warning: my own modules, OCZ4002048PFDC-K (2x 1GB Performance) refuse to work stable even at stock speed and settings, not only in my system. 2x 3dmark05 and they get that hot - even with a fan blowing fresh air directly on them - that they produce BSODs or SP errors. .. 2nd time RMA now .. OCZ -> :slapass:

Have you tried it on XP instead of Vista? If that isnt vista can u send or link me to that wallpaper?

it's XP. I cant find the link to the style I think is on another rig. If the attachment dont work let me know, I'll email ya whole style

When are you gonna put my updated score up? I got 301, 3-3-3-8 1T @ 3.13V...look above to see it. Granted, this was with only one stick (the other stick is almost as good but combined my X2 craps out), but I still wan't it on the board. Mine were the Ballistix Z503...not sure if they were -5B D.

I'll do it right now, sorry bout the delay. Take the spreaders off so we all know what the new Z503's have for chips.

Alright, I'll see if I can find a suitable razor blade...if not you'll have to wait for someone else to pry theirs open.

I also will have some 3GB action coming up (2x1GB Ballistix and 2x512 TCCD), will report that in a separate thread though.

Alright, I can't get the HS off...I have the right blade but putting any pressure with my left arm hurts so much (I just had reconstructive shoulder surgery on Wed.). I tested with putting my dead Redline into a table mounted vice grip....but that didn't work so well. Anyway, nugzo or xgman also have Z503s, maybe they can help.

DB Updated. We have our first tie at #6 for A64 2x1GB.

Secondly, I separated the sections further so that 1x1GB guys aren't competing with 2x1GB guys and viceversa.

I can say that my z503s act very weirdly with non-cas3. They won't error, they'll just crash the entire system.
