I can run 300htt at 9x multi, but not A SINGLE HTT more. At 8x multi I can run 340HTT so go figure. Havent tried 7x multi since i doubt it can do 400htt. Too bad its so tough to find a good 3200+ stepping. Otherwise the higher multipliers are good to play with.
nah most people can reach 275 its when you go for 300 that it really dont work for most people.Quote:

yah i see what u mean, i didnt know divider worked up like that, last time i read about them they only worked to bring the memory speed down when using a high fsb that the memory wouldnt run at.Quote:

.....it is CPU that will make it or break it for you as well.....reason i say that is my winchester couldn't do 300MHz....even memtest errors let alone windows stable....with Venice 300MHz is child's play so depend very much on the CPU........you can drop dividers I guess BUT my 8x doesn't work....it freezes up at memtest.....7x was OK and lower

Now I got playing with 2T and found this adds a little performance boost also.
I was able to run ddr600 with 256dimms, the issue comes with 512's, its like the board has issues with the extra load apart from when testing in async mode, where i was able to hit DDR650 1t with a san diego in 500 mode, 3250+MB/s in memtest86+
Im still waiting to see the bios Abit have promised, I asked for TREF, data drive, Drive strength, etc etc to all be added, the only issue is it won't be as good as the DFI as that has tweaks at the harware level also, but we will see.

no worries......i've been compiling the list with some suggestions in sticky there and i'm sure that you've covered most of those however there are still some things which you probably haven't addressed....plus it's good to ask from as many avenues as possible....being a public request on their own forum makes it good for their PR if they produce results so it's all good mate

Dual card sli support is still broken with bios 16.b00.
Bios 13 and 14 are the only bioses that work with dual card sli on the Fatality AN8-SLI board.
Here is the lovely bsod I get whenever I try to run a 3D game or benchmark with either bios 15 or 16 with dual cards in sli.

lowdog: What is your OC? My comp throws the same errors (77.13 forceware drivers) if I don't give the CPU enough voltage.
It's not OC'ed atm and it's running stock Vcore 1.4V but with Abit's overvolt that = 1.42 to 1.45V under load.
As I have said, bios 13 and 14 work fine with Fatality AN8-SLI in dual card sli config.
Bios 15 and 16 beta won't work in a 3D environment at all with dual card sli config. However with the sli switchboard set to single card and 1 grafix card running the board will work in a 3D environment with bios 15....didn't bother testing 16 beta like this because I'm not interested in running a single card.
Once bios 15 beta showed the same symptoms as bios 15 in dual card sli config I just scraped it and flashed back to bios 13.
Looks like my X2 will have to sit and wait till Abit can fix X2 support and sli functionality on AN8-SLI boards. :fact:

Try setting RAM to SPD timings in bios and give it a whirld at 9*300 or more and report back...what sort of vcore are you using...also is that prime stable....what stepping is your venice.....your temps a bit out of wack as well or what?
