yah was wondering the same here, something is up with the fan. maybe fan levels aren't tuned right yet. need to show rpms and temps to understand fully.

This is strange, GTX 580 is faster than HD 6970 in Skyrim

When was that review? AMD has released so many mini updates for Skyrim ;).
the 7970 definitely shows the benefit of 384bit and 3 gb of memory for eyefinity setups.

This is more like it.
1125MHz at stock volts on stock cooler,NICE !!!
From Vrzone,it seems the other review just measured fan noise at maximum speed, not in real world.Quote:
Testing with FurMark - with the fan left at auto, it was still spinning silently and temperatures maxed out at a comfortable 86 degrees celcius
Annnnd.....we're live!

After a marathon of writing and testing. Gotta love it when they pull in release days by a few weeks....
As an Eyefinity user, i wish it was a bit better for the asking price. I think i will hold off till i see nVidia's response.
Another for your viewing pleasure.

Agreed SKYMTL...can't believe I only had the thing six days (shipped to the wrong person accidentally)!
Lol, i imagine, well, you will be in holliday with family soon... thanks SKY, will read it now.
Great job for have add thoses "computing" tests ( not so easy ).... well impressive gain in some cases vs Cayman.
Well i will surely take one for play with it (or a T. Warthog Hotas, same price lol ) . Looking at some result, i can quickly understand driver optimisation can only keep it better. ( maybe not skyrim, this game is yet too bugged at my sense for be used for reviews, but well, its one of the best game of the year.. )
Nice reviews both of you btw. Good job!

Seems I'm the only one who is unwilling to use Arkham City just yet. IMO, the built in benchmark is nowhere near indicative of actual game performance and finding a good spot to benchmark with is a total pain in the butt due to the game's auto save system....
