Im on water and with the volts up it cooks fast anyway so Im not sure how much the water cooling is helping but at least its quiet. It works well at sane gaming clocks.... but its more often pushing for max.

@ 1day great results mate, u and bro 20000 have one of the best batches on this forum, seems like the UD7 is somewhat limited im mem frequency with hypers past 2133... ASUS maximus doesnt have these issues, Maby they fixed it with a bios update???
@aussie-revhead, if u check the xtremeoverclocking section Criminal is aiming for 57x and 58x :D
has anyone done 58x yet? Is it possible? What limits the max multi on these?
:)
It was a toss up between the Venomous X and the Megahalems but I don't think the Megahalems would have been much better given how the i7-2600k really heats up quick with 8 threads.
Yeah I'm good at 4.9ghz and less than 1.4v vcore and 80c load for 24/7 is good enuf for me
AFAIK nope, still waiting for results on SS phase..
LOL! I'm famous!

I gave the guy permission to use my screenshot since he sold me a decent chip.
Not magical like L042 magical, but a decent chip.
I think this is his last L041C108 i7-2600k =)
I have two CPUs of different batch and they both OC the same, so I'm narrowing it down to my board. Gotta get rid of this board and get the Maximus IV Extreme when it's available. You can wait until forever, but EVGA is late to the game so I'm ditching them. Think EVGA might be going the way of BFG, soon.
I did some more testing this weekend. And Prime 95 does not stress SB enough (Custom 960k).
It was more then 2 hour prime stable when i stopped it. But within 15 min of playing Starcraf 2 i got a crash.
So i stress tested it with 6 threads of prime and while playing SC2. 90-98% CPU load. I needed 0,05v more to get it stable again. I'm now at 4.7 GHz 1.35v bios (1.38-1.39v load)
I'm so proud of my new shiny Corsair A70, the last time I bought hsf was TT Big Typhon:D
Too bad all 5 2600ks clocked @ 5.3 Max:(
L042B208 53X
L042B291 52X
L045A998 52X

Soowy for double-post,
The forum seams to be acting strange. I was sure I posted the second one in another Thread. I couldn't delete it either, anyways it wasn't the meaning to double-post.
It may just be be the chip samples... finding a strong 2600K is not easy.
I'm still searching for a really good 2600K but I did find a 2500K that can bench x55 with my Biostar TP67XE on air.

Not sure how impressive this is compared to others here...
Just was playing around over the weekend and hit the following:
4.3GHz stable (43x100)
EPU on, all power saving on
vcore offset: -.075
stock cooler
Setup:
P8P67 PRO
2500K
Seasonic Fanless 400W
Crappy G.Skill 4GBx2 1333MHz ram
It's nice that Intel can do 4GHz+ on stock cooler nowadays :)
