Thank you guys!!!
It has been a fantastic ride, and I have learned a LOT about 2k1 these days. My full respect to K|ngp|n for this competition, my deepest respect to hipro for his outstanding experience, skills and understanding of this game, he really pointed out the way for us a few weeks back, too bad that sometimes life doesn't allways allow us to finish what we have begun. :(
Also, my best regards and respect for hey, you put up a great fight little bro, and also for the heavy-weights Aristidis and GPRHellas, who dominated the dual-GPU competition. And in the end, congratulations to everybody that worked hard and came up with results in this competition, this is the true spirit of overclocking and I am proud to have been a part of this.
In the end, you all know that all my respect and friendship goes to my team-mate Micutzu, but also matose (who was with us all the way in spirit, support and advice).
Thanks for sharing all of your results during the competition guys, Ive learned a lot reading through your posts on your own learnings and experiences. I hope there are more challenges like this one in the future
I suggest next challange should be "lowest CPU clock to pass 100k in 3D2001" :D
I think that we have won the one of two pots :D
Congrats to the winning guys...... :)
Unfortunatelly I didn't have time to bench these days.... :(
Winning comps are:
1. SINGLE = ATI 4890 at 1250MHz on i7 platform
2. DUAL (multi) = 2 x ATI 4890 at 1150MHz - 1200MHz on Core 2 Duo platform
:)
George i dont think you can do anything with that low nature score what the ATI card and the i7 combination makes together even if you are running at 1250mhz, i made also few runs like dinos for fun with 4890 and i7, and even cant get near of 1000fps in nature maxed out on air, but sure you can proof the opposite anytime and show some hipro magic :D
edit: but actually this all nothing matters guys, after the competition ended and the best scores are out its always easy to calculate better in theory :p:
George, for the past couple of days I've been trying to chase your score on a 4890. Out of 2 days straight of 01, I had only two runs in total that would've had a chance to beat you but never got a nature for either, and that too only by a margin of 20 or so points. You and crustytheclown really did one hell of a job with those runs...90.2k+ isn't easy at all with ATi, in fact I think it's actually easier with nVidia (GTX280) :S :bows:
Congrats to Monstru and aristidis
congrats to winners and runner ups . specially congrats george and monstru their results were so amazing !!!
Unfortunately i got my E8600 and GMH modules today so i couldn't participate this time ( even vince change the end time again :D , hope for that :) ) .
Pretty much true buddy, at 1150/1250 we were still under 90k (~ 1080 Nature) so we gave up on ATI, max benchable clocks were around 1200/1300 but the scaling is worse and worse over a certain limit on i7. This was the score with aircooled VGA:

Congratulations to the winners on this competition and the runner ups too ;), i felt the true spirit of overclocking from all of you guys since day one , it was an awsome competition , and everybody reading this tread day by day enjoy it. This is what overclocking should be about , bringing the community closer to each other. Great Job on making this competition Vince , my deepest respect for you.
chispy.
Congrats for my teammates, Monstru and Micutzu, and of course for aristidis  :toast:.
Contest is over?
Congrats to the winners!:D
Monstru your score really rocks.Nature is so impressive with i7!
Of course congrats to k|ngp|n for making this competition:D
If the competition isn't over, keep 2k1ing bros!:D
2x4890 @ 1230/1250.....not a winning combination trust me.These gpus don't scale nature at all,at least at 4200MHz cpu.
Congratulations for winners and everybody who runs on this competition! I feel same as chispy said..AND it's truely, this contest was very exciting too, when XS was offline, hey and me did some "barcoba" on msn:ROTF: Later my card died once, but I could repair, so this slowly me on improving..Yesteryday I found better order, so I will continue my skill improve in 01, plan is beat 90k with green air..:)
This contest (was) awesome, and I very enjoyed! Thanks and respect to Vince! :worship:
Been really tied up past week guys, I'll get caught up with the thread this weekend and see who wins what. Congratz to those that got the units and also everyone else that did well!!
Most importantly, did we all learn a little something about 01'?? :D
what a question.. a LOT..
I would like to advise please no close this thread, only change thread name to something " 3DMARK 2K1 low clock challenge II -offline" or other, so more new people can learn, whos interest 2K1..and of course we can continue for fun :)
Conggratz FTW...
I've learned so much things from this thread... lots of shared... especially with different game order... hope more similar thread next time like this....
congrats guys
no way 1250 would hit cap with i7 :(
i7 sux hard lol
Officially the sweetest mount ever.
Pwanage setup dino.
Why isn't the first post updated, and proper honours given to the first places?
Dinos, that's the most ghetto mount I have ever seen :D. Congrats!
