weren't all steppings with A**** ES sample? Stephen mentioned it once, I think.
Anyway, try the chip, who knows, you might get lucky.
Btw, anyone seen the KABJE 0449 stepping?
never heard of KABJE 0449. BUY IT!!!!:D
I always thought the newer ES's were those Axxxx that has the core voltage written on the bottom of the chip.
Think I have a 156 and fx60 ES on the way, too:D Not 100% sure though, the company I bought them from has some problems... I keep my fingers crossed.
Opteron 156 ... :D
AAB1E :)
"1st letter: "production/release code"
Pre-production or early samples have an "A" here where final production batches will be a "C" (for current chips). Some may recall that Venice samples where seen in the wild as "ABBLE" and current production runs are "LBBLE". While complete understanding of this is unknown at this time, it is clear that this has something to do with early samples."
lol this opteron 156 is too cheap :D
tomorrow or wednesday i'll put my fingerprint on my opti 156... AND attention: a new 3700+ 0614BPMW! lower batch than my other one's :D
and in the next few weeks i can lend a opteron 146 CABNE 0530APMW :)
ARgh, I envy your 0614bpmw's. I think all of these chips were sold in Germany:mad: Makes it hard for me to get hold of some.
Won a 3500+ San Diego (a REAL SD, says BN not BW on the chip;) ). Stepping... AABHE 0502XPMW - oldest SD I've ever seen! 1.4v btw.
damn! a 3500+ SanDiego! i've never found such a cpu :(
the 146 is from forumdeluxx, but i don't know if it's the same guy...
The WR Stepping of the 3500+ Manchester is 0633 FPMW...
@ Bruce
Thats an very old 3500+ San Diego...I thougt every time that these cores would be relabeled in the nearer past...
Hmm, no idea what to think of this one:
ADA4000DEP5AS
CAAXC 0430 MPMW
Batch: 0070
Seems to be a FX-53 stepping, but I can't find any info about the stepping.
Hmmm, 0633fpmw... that MUST be a CDBFE, am I right? Those are coldbugges, I think.
I have a feeling I won a 3500+ CDBHE 0540FPMW a while ago. Not sure where it is now, maybe at some friend's house or something. Should be decent.
The 3500+ SD's were labeled VENICE for some STUPID reason lol. No idea why they would do that.
Triplepost lol. Sry ;-)
Is 0633EPMW better than 0633APMW?
i would say NO.
0633 EPMW is very cold bugged :( I testest two of them under single stage and horrible cold bug....215 MHz HTT @ -30°C so far.
@ massman
This 4000+ should rocks but its not safe. The batch seems interesting...
Where do you get your cpus ?
Difference between E and A is the day of the week. Though, it's not known (by me) what day as there are more than 7 letters for exactly 7 days ... :(
Nevermind the chip, I asked the person who has selling the cpu if it was an actual picture of the cpu and it wasn't :(.
So far, all my world-class steppings (3000+ winnie, 3000+ Venice, 3800+ venice, 3500 winnie) come from fellow members of the 9lives forums. I'm checking eBay once in a while to find out if there are good steppings available or not. Mostly not :).
Source of that info? Searched all day for it and I didn't found it :)
M is indeed mixed, AMD datasheet describe M as "M if fab lots were combined"
Stepping:
ada3800daa4bp
lbble 0521dpmw
z71139zfs1939 => Same stepping as Stephen's killer 3200+
the two babies for the next playboy magazine: :D

:o !! The CCBBE 0617TPMW was quite good with the DCs. There's such 165 doing 3.4ghz on water you know ;)
