I hadn't put the HR-05 on yet. I did that last night. Install was easy for nb and sb, I just had to position them just right. For some reason my pc still won't go past 30 seconds of orthos blend. For your temps it's normal, thermal paste as AS5 is full effective nearly 16 hours after being installed, so just wait some days and compare another time.
Warping your mb should not prevent you to boot @ 500, on the contrary you cool better nb and sb with HR-5 so you should see improvements ...:mad:
Thats what I thought. I ran the small FFT test and no problems. I just wonder whats going on with the blend test. I'm thinking about putting my S3 back in to see if my memory might be the problem. Maybe pushing 2.5v through it, even for a short time, may have hurt it.:( I hope that's not the problem. I guess I'll start pushing it hard when I get home today. I should have brought it to work with me. I really don't want to rma this board. I'll have to undo all the work I did yesterday. I have looked everywhere and can't find someone that has the orthos blend problem I'm experiencing. What components are stressed during the blend test?Quote:

yes that's what i wanted to tell you : this mb has issue with some ram.
try your gskill in single and in black and yellow slot , maybe you'll find how to pass a blend orthos ;)
Already found that black slots are more stable, I'm getting new ram anyway, so no big deal, I guess I'll have to run it at stock ram speeds. Now to see if my cpu will oc again. Thanks for your input. Hopefully I will see an OC difference with the HR-05's.Quote:

One stick. OK I'll give that a try. I need to find some cheap ram to play with. I need to find some of those hynix (?) chips that will go over 600mhz. What ram would you reccomend for 600mhz 5-5-5-15 at 2.35v or so? Is there even ram that can do that and not cost $600us?Quote:

It passes orthos blend now. I reseated my memory, so I think that was it. I still Cant boot at 500fsb any more though.
Here is another at 3150mhz. the first graph is vcore 1.325v in BIOS with +100mv. The second is 1.35v and +100mv. Strangely enough, the actual for both (according to speedfan) was 1.39v.

Nothing strange .... It is because you are enable +100mV .. Which means your REAL vcore set in BIOS will be vcore + 0.1V
Here is 3400mhz. It is stable at this speed finally. Now I can concentrate on my memory, and save money for my e6600.:banana:

Here are the temp graphs for the two cores. The lapping and pressure mounting seem to have paid off. I'm happy with the results. I can boot at 500fsb again, but have not gotten it stable. It sure did act odd for a little bit.

choose vcore without the +100mv offset option it seems to create less vdroop ( 1.4 for example instead of 1.3v+100mv option )
If you really want 600 5/5/5 24/7 you don't have onather solution than to take very good D9 chips like D9GKX or D9GMH and it's really expensive ...

Im building a system with a E4300 or E6300 what 650 sli board would be better for me the ASUS P5N-E SLI or the msi p6n Sli fi?
