440x8 seems very stable as far as the motherboard is concerned. One core failed Prime after 1.5hrs so a slight voltage bump from 1.45V should do the trick. Vpci-e is at 1.6V.
Dual SuperPi 32M resulted in sub 17min times.

Heres a pic of my msi watercooled, first the chipset, then the CPU, then the GPU, all in 1/2" and using a D5 pump, and I've put an akasa low-profile fan on the southbridge (its noiseless so its fine).

I'm gonna try some more clocks now, see how far this baby really goes.
Excellent!
Bios Settings:
CPU: 400FSB
VCore: 1.58v
RAM: 1:1
Timings: 4-4-4-4
Volts: 2.4v
PCI Clk: Enabled
Spread Spectrum: Disabled
PCIe Bus: 100
PCIe/Chipset Volts: 1.75v

Been running Prime and CPU-Stability with Winamp MP4-HE-AAC2-PS audio in the background, running like a dream! The memory clock is slightly down from the last 370FSB run, its running at 800Mhz now compared to 924MHZ, maybe I'll tweak that next...
The aim is:
400FSB and 900MHZ+ on Memory Bus
Got the 400FSB sorted, now lets tweak that memory... :)
Nice job!Quote:

Is there an app known to work on this MB?
My ASUS P5W DH DELUXE came intoday via usps priority. Do any of you guys think this MSI board is a keeper? I won't be needing both, but I simply must have a board that will do @ least 400 FSB.
Hi all just checking back in. Hows the new 715 beta doing? I put my MSI on the shelf and got myself a Gigabyte DS3 just to see what my 6400 can do and sure enough the MSI was holding me back. That being said the MSI is much faster at same cpu speed, matter of fact it takes a extra 200 mhz on the DS3 to match my MSI scores in SuperPI and 3dmark.
If the 715 loosened up the board at all and helped fixed some of those boot issues I will power it back up.
Thanks
The 715 was a good help for me, but I dont know how it effected conroe CPUs. It should take a few more bios releases before this board starts kicking ass.Quote:

I left it as ".715". For the 700 and the 714 i left those as ".700" and ".714" also.Quote:

Hi all
Today i received a MSI power up and the Asus P5B Deluxe.
Here are my MSI results so far.

tomorrows another day ;)
Your temp readings on bios 715 is what I find very interesting. Core Temp is showing your chip about 15c lower than mine (based on 1.4 vcore@3.4ghz) using more voltage, Mmm. What cooling are you using and what are your load temps?
Maybe my Koolance is working better than I thought.

The MSI tools dont work in 64 bit.
When will these motherboard manufacturers realise that they MUST include 64 bit versions of their custom-management/tweaking software!!!! Come on you multi-million-dollar fatcats, wake up and smell the roses! 64 bit support is not crunched into these chips for just PR's sake now!
I am going to take back what I said about this board.
With the right cooling and parameters, this baby can fly!
I mean, I got my E6600 at 400FSB stable with ram at 800!
And we all know how low the ceiling is on these E6600 and E6700 chips, unlike their 2MB younger sisters the Allandale E6300 and E6400's.
I think I'm gonna stick with this rig, this board is a bargain, you can get the top speeds and stable, plus you get an Intel Pro 1GB LAN chipset thrown in and the new Realtek audio chipset, sorted :)
The only thing missing, is MSI's slow response to us early adopters of conroe tech. "COME ON MICROSTAR - GET OFF YOUR ARRSES and SORT US OUT!"

yeah this board does fly i will try with my retail E6600 tomorrow see if that can hit 400x9 so far the E6600 as only hit 3.4Ghz on the intel bad x and Ds3.Quote:

Thanks
The highest 3DMark05 stable I get is 390.
Disable: C1E, SpeedStep, Audio, Floppy
vcore: 1.56v
vram: 2.2v
cpu:ram 1:1
maual 4-5-4-15
PCIe 1.65v
This is SuperPI stable at 410 and 3DMark05 stable at 390
Thanks for the settingsQuote:

DAY187: What happens if you upps the vcore?
day187, nice results. Try running your ram at cas4-4-4. I know for a fact my MSI 975X is faster than my DS3 and with you having a 6600 you should be well under my DS3/6400 combo at same cpu speed. Non tweaked.

my vcore is on max 1.58v but vdrop 1.56v memory 2.2v.Quote:

trying to get the asus to boot but no luck so far.
First post. Using the 715 BIOS, I have my Conroe at 3.2 Ghz....My temps never go over 42C (TT BT), how much Vcore is too much. I have it at 1.45.

I assume that no one is seeing vast improvements with the 715 bios but also it isn't hosed?
Can't seem to get a consensus on this bios and whether to flash to it or not?
