Reason i ask is because im going to be buy a new comp next week. i was hoping for something along these lines.
Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 --------------------------------------- $180 - right now $220
ASUS P5W DH Deluxe ----------------------------------------- $250 - right now $280
Team Group Xtreem DDR2 667MHz Dual Channel 2 Gb Kit DDR2 -- $250 - 3-3-3-8 Timings
eVGA 256-P2-N584-AR Geforce 7900GT KO 256MB ------------- $270
Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3320620AS 320 GB ------------- $100
SAMSUNG SH-S162L/BEBN DVD Burner ------------------------- $36
AMS CF-2229BK Black Steel ----------------------------------- $58
Thermaltake TR2 W0070 ATX 430W Power Supply -------------- $40
Tuniq T-120 ------------------------------------------------- $50
But if these prices are going to hold for a month i would rather go AMD.
Nxds, Tankguys has the P5W DH Deluxe for $245 plus shipping..OOS right now but still.
Also, just a comment about your rig there, but I'd reconsider that PSU if I were you. Get at least the Antec Smartpower 2.0 500w for ~$69 for the Sunbeam NUUO 550w for $75 if you want a decent, stable, reliable PSU.

430watt isn't going to cut it, especially that brand. Pick urself up an Enermax 520 or 600 Liberty series. Don't skimp on powersupplies.Quote:

They were never in stock, they simply put up the ad. They tried to sell it for $1400 about 2 weeks ago and it was pulled down then. Since then it has never registered as in stock.Quote:

Both those PSU have terrible reviews 1st the Antec Smartpower 2.0 500w which starts to turning into cr@p after 6+ months, then the Sunbeam NUUO 550w which burns drives like crazy. I think i might go with Rosewill RP600S-2MK ATX12V 600W instead what do you think? A lot of people said the ASUS P5W DH was better then the Gigabyte DS3, but it is a hell of a lot cheaper.
Hope my new Mastercard comes in 2morrow.(:( Washington Mutual canceling my Visa you suck!!!:slapass:)

Me I wanted a modular because I'm new to this and I saw this Antec for a rediculous price (Buy it now) in brand new condition on Ebay. Lets just say I got it way less than what It would haved cost on Pricegrabber or Froogle. So far I like it a lot too.

The Tuniq Tower 120 will probably not be available till Mid-September (till around Sept 15) so unless you are lucky to find one (then tell me :P) you should look for something else/use a temporary or wait for it.Quote:

Screw it with the prices so high and parts unavailable im might just go with a cheap AMD X2 setup until the RD600 comes out and Conre2 are in stock. Thanks for the great help, too bad Intel cant met the demand they really have a Winner in there hands.
NXds, wait one week as Intel said the 7th for retail availabity (27th for oem, ie dell...) a while ago, and they have said supply should be good then
But i want it Now:banana:
Thanks for answering my question i though these prices where going to hold for 3+ weeks. Since i thought that the retail availabity was June 27.
um... wait a week maybe?

What's the difference between OEM and Retail version of Core 2 Duo? Is it the heatsink/fan only? Does it have a shorter guarantee? I was thinking of buying an E6300 OEM since they are the only ones in stock right now. Is it worth it?
yes shorter gaurantee and no heatsink, I remember when boxed came with a 5 year warranty looks like its down to three years. looks like its 12 for oem better than I remember. In the past retail overclocked slightly better than oem but there are so few data points with core2 duo who knows. Overclocking voids warranty, yes I know we all know that.Quote:
