Good luck mate!
Go for it Ryan!
Modded 7600GT 512 and 4770 doing fine on stock air and everything working.... going to be going cold with them for some top spots next week.
Now that the heat/humidity has broke i had some time to play...
this was good for first and 11 points
now time to optimize it for the other 2d stuff

http://img.techpowerup.org/100807/8200cpuz.jpg
and what i am doin it on :surf:
http://img.techpowerup.org/100807/viperfest-2010.jpg
Nice steve how are the temps holding on the phase and are you all caught up on work to possibly do somethin g next weekend?
the phase is working nice when the humidity isn't overwhelming
it keeps the core2's in the -40's
and my w3570 at load 1.6v in the low -30's
i would love to get together, we should just watch for non humid days, i am on the 2nd floor and when it get very humid it's just brutal up here....:surf:
Yeah that sounds good plus less condensation. I'm traveling now i still have my i5 655k to play with that looks to be a winner 5.1ghz on air and then tweak/setup 3dmark profiles for the sr2.
hey if you take a look at my results for the other 2d stuff, any help you can give me with ddr2 ram would be helpfull
that was all done on a reg load of vista64
i just loaded BZ xp32 load so now i am going to retry tonight the other 2d stuff and see if i can get closer....
thanks :surf:
I have a LONG way to go with this little card. Just air pretesting to see what it runs. Drivers will be tested and cold+voltages will be applied. Its fully modded BTW.
I'm shooting for gold in all benches with this card so its going to be pushed until either it gets there or dies in the process.:up::up:
Welcome. "Safedisk"
Korea overclock my friends :)
:welcome:
Welcome Safedisk! :)
Welcome Safedisk!
7900GT and 7900GTX on the way.
Hope to get some DICE this week for further 7600GT and 4770 testing.
You pushed us over 14800 points when I checked a few hours ago! Nice work!
And now we're already at 14900 points, after some submissions by Linuxfan, systemviper, safedisk and SlaveOnDope!

great work guys :surf: goooooooo TEAM..
I joined btw :D
Commando is the best board for clocking Cedar Mills imho, but you'll still need mods for it, Vcore and Vdroop is easy but OVP is a bit tricky.
11th Yeah, great.
Fighting a great team :)
question, i am playing around with a e4400 that has a multi of 10
no matter what i do it will not go above 359 fsb, i tried almost every setting, also changing multi,
once it hits 359 fsb its not movin no matter what i throw at it....
any suggestions, i have tried most the bonehead stuff, but i never saw this before....

That sounds like a very low FSB-wall...
Can you try that chip on another board?
Yeah, I'm pretty sure the CPU is to be blamed here... Nice work on the E6600 though!
And thanks to some submissions by systemviper, SlaveOnDope and our new member quattro_, it's done:

15k!!!

Congrats Gents!
Thanks! :)
SteveRo submitted his first scores today and brought the PCMark Vantage WR back to XS!
Well ran out of quad cores, so i put the UD3P on the shelf for a while.... (still got the Q9450 that i think can take 1st with dice or ln2 for later on)
So now i can focus on my REX, I have removed the regular heatpipes and put all Enzo copper on the chips plus a lot of fans,
I also did the socket prep for the SS last night.
So i figure a E8500 would be a good chip to put the REX thru the paces, not going for any records but i was
very interested to see if it had any 600+ FSB ballz.....
So the only stuff i have been doing with this board is building the HD loads, i have my Vista64 that i play in and i
built a very nice TinyXP for it toooo but anyway, I fired up the SS and was on my way....
So after a few boots and trying to get a better feel for the bios, also upgradign it to the latest....
I got it to easily go to..... Freq : 5278.95 MHz (621.05 * 8.5)
http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1346257
So that made me real happy, so i played for a while trying setting, I think it can do much more then the 621. that was just to easy (knocks wood)
then i tried some speed runs and quickly hit Freq : 5537.89 MHz (582.94 * 9.5)
http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1346305
So it was time to stop and i was very happy with this first test drive of the REX, i am very happy with it.
So now that i know the board got some chops it will be time to put some chips on it that i actually have a chance of getting close to the top
chips like the E8500 i don't think i can even get close without LN2.... but that is coming tooooooo!
well that was my Saturday overclocking adventure :surf: gooooooooo TEAM
Good to see you're on the REX now.
Some guys even got the FSB up in to the 690s with the REX.
Here's an E8500 with REX at 693.99mhz: http://hwbot.org/community/submissio...eme_693.99_mhz
So maybe you can even push it some more. :yepp:
Keep clockin, great work!
Nice first run with the REX Steve!
Which memory kit do you have, and what's your Vnb?
600MHz is easy with this board, I was able to hit 621MHz as well, but than it got harder, I'll have to look into it some more when I have more time. This board is great, I'm sure you'll love it! :)
Did you test your memory as well?
Thanks guys!
Mr Don Dan - Vnb=cpuvtt? @ ~-100C evap temp - running cpuvtt at 1.6v  to get 4400 up to 4600 uncore
Regarding memory - I'm using corsair 3x2GB 2kc7 - works great - can take huge volts! :yepp:
Max mem oc is about the same as what eva2000 measured with his set - ~2150-2200 @ 7-7-6 88 1T - my dramv is at ~1.88v (don't remember eva's volts).
Wow just stopping by to see whats going on, you guys are kickin arse and taking names.
Great Job TEAM! :up::up::up:
Haha, I didn't think of the fact we have to members called Steve, thanks for your posts guys, I love reading about the story behind scores!
Please welcome our new member l0ud_sil3nc3! :welcome:
Great work everyone, we own 11th place in the team rankings now!
Sweet, i know l0ud_sil3nc3 and he's a great guy, he's gonna bring a lot to the team,
wahoooo good to see you here l0ud_sil3nc3 :eleph:
On the e6400, i wanted to play but i like points, so i found a chip that can score pretty big and still learn the REX... so that is why i went with the e6400
and it looks like it went good, no where near the top 10 but got some pretty good pointage..... And i look at my posts and i was runing that ram at 2T whats up with that, got to chance it to 1T
HELP!
Big Question....
I have a tinyXP load... oh so sweet...
so far i ahve been using ASUS AI Suite for my in OS tweaking
but in TinyXP it loads and when i go to touch it it dissapears.
So for now all my tweaking has been in bios
except for memory
I know i can get more out of this chip with some in OS tweaking
so what should i be using for changing FSB and Voltage...
if you say SetFsb the nwhat chip do i set that for?
time to let the SS rest till tonight but I want to make it faster tonight!
so any help would be appriciated!
thanks for any help....:YIPPIE::YIPPIE::YIPPIE:
There might be another program to use or a way to fix the Asus program but I was looking around and found a list of PLLs for different mobos. I think this one should work for you.
ASUS RAMPAGE Extreme ICS9LPRS918BKL/ICS9LPRS918HKL
Keep us updated.
Edit: My 1000th post! :D Go XS!
I would love to find out from someone that really worked a rampage extreme as to what they used...
and how they did it...
i'll try setfsb tonight, but i also need a program that lets me adjust voltages....
i would hate to have to tweak out of bios all the time, seems so stoneage
http://thewebvirgin.com/wp-content/u...troglodite.jpg
anyone?
guesss gigabutt spoiled me with easytune, it worked everywhere...
SetFSB and MemSet is all you need, I'd do all the voltage tweaking in the BIOS.
The PLLs Daniel posted should work, I used ICS9LPRS926EGLF or ICS9LPRS918JKLF on my board.
not sure what that means, like with the e6400 i boot at 556fsb at 1.72v any more voltage is a waste to boot because it doesn't need it...Quote:
Can't you boot at max voltages
in fact i can prob boot at 1.6v no problem
I'm used to raising voltage as i raise the cpu speeds in the OS..
max voltage is over 2v, not sure i want to boot at that???
EDIT, ET6 worked sweet for the gig board, don't think i lost much using it and
it just makes tweaking so much easier doing it in the booted OS...
I found wit hthe UD3P that if i had to use the bios to get my overclocks, i would be nowhere
tweaking in the OS always gave me more then bios tweaking from what i have done..
wish i had something like that for the REX....
my R3E has a sweet one from asus, wish i had that tooo
So for that E6400 for example you'd boot at 1.72v, change freq. higher in OS and not worry about upping voltages because you're already at the max that your chip will SCALE at.
Definitely LOVE ROG Connect for overclocking on the R3E too bad there isn't a BIOS update to allow it to work with the REX too. :D
BAM, now that i hit that 300 hardware point wall i got to rethink my overclocking strategy.. :chicken:
woot,:bday2:
time to lock in that 11 :hammer:
gooooooo :surf: TEAM
YEAH !!!!
Great Job Brothers .... 11th :up::up:
Did the reign of Wolfdale end today? In 01 I mean. :D
Seems like you don't need a E8600 @ 6.6GHz anymore, the hunt for ~6.8GHz Gulftowns is on.
Check it out!
With the same VGA @ the same clocks, the C2D will be better of course due to the better Nature score.
I can't help it, I'm not impressed at all. I would be if Kingpin or hipro or even youngpro did that, but not him.
Nothing wrong with James imho, I like how he's pushing the boundaries, and I like seeing his in-depth tweaking threads a lot more than the many brute-force runs we're seeing today. He made some mistakes in the past, but who didn't?
I understand what you're saying about Andre, but still, it's a huge number. And it's not like he's Coolaler, OPB or Tapakah...
got a dewer, f1 and a thermos coming ver ysoon so i am starting to prep a few trial boards to learn some LN2
i just ordered some
MG Silicone Conformal Coating 422-55ML
MG Chemicals Super Corona Dope 4226-55ML
but i read you can use nail polish, so whats the dope on what is best...
I dunno what kind of nail polish you have in the US but it works fine for one time, until you defreeze the board. It will start coming off after thermal cycle.
I went out and grabbed some of the Frost King pipe insulation per Kinpin writeup on his forum and I think I am gonna try that route first.
The other option is kneaded eraser the :banana::banana::banana: out of everything:shrug:
not sure on whats the easiest to remove, or what insulates best, however these are both factors to consider when insulating.
3oh6 had a nice write up on kingpins forums as well, its a little different than vinces but they both do the same thing, prevent condensation.
yea right now i use the eraser and it works great, but i have a few boards that i don't mind insulating for good...
and i want to get full coverage
glad i didn't use nail polish...
thanks for hte info guyzzzz :surf:
saw this on crazy PC and ordered some...

You're doing it wrong, you want your frequency to go up, not down! :p:
Edit: We broke 15200 points today, Marco André made the submission that pushed us over the border!
My humble submission? Glad it helped somehow :D
Uncle steve, Im proud of you buddy!
Thanks to chew*'s submissions we passed 15300 points today!
That means only 2000 points are needed to catch JMAX-Hardware, should be doable in the next few weeks....
I want to bench and Ive had a full dewar sitting since last Friday and its been raining all week. I hooked up the board and ran some ln2 last night for a half hour and the ram was already wet.
Once again I can only extend the offer........
I have to cpu power to help you guys out in 3d, bring your cards and some loot for ln2 and we can get you some decent results if your local to me. ;)
Hello,
I was focusing my attention on 03 because I read somewhere that's very tricky and require a good configuration... I asked google for help on the tweaking side and found this thread: http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...=130155&page=3
After reading Hipro5 comment (when he figured out the trick) I started running the benchmark.
980X @ 4292MHz
with 1x 5870 got 103k
with 1x 4890 got 91k
with 1x 5670 got 5,5k
after like 25 runs with each card, i found that my submissions had been blocked :(
Let's have a look at your scores :
980X @ 4292MHz
with 1x 5870 got 103k --> your entry in between LN2 cooled cards that run over 1400 core. Your validated score is 90K. This is a huge jump for just a reboot. Don't you think it is a bugged run ?
with 1x 4890 got 91k--> you even beat Kingpins LN2 card on stock cooler :p
with 1x 5670 got 5,5k --> score is still validated, yet it's another bugged run for sure. Ryba runs 1500 core and you 850 ?
I really don't think the reboot trick is that good... sorry before complaining about the moderations get the facts straight sir.
I just didn't knew any bug or see any during the benchmark but yes it's a big jump, in fact. Well i'll keep going with low scores, no worries :D Thanks for the help!
Beating an LN2 cooled card of the same type, that has about +30% higher clocks is impossible in 03 as it's so heavily GPU dependant... logic rules :)
Though in 05/06 your GT could be able to make up if they ran their scores on core2 or I7... till the moemnt they have a GT too :p
Actually I reported your score with the 4890, that's why it was blocked ( I didn't check the other scores ). Running it after a reboot is a nice tweak, but it will never give you such a huge gain in FPS, in fact your GT4 score looked bugged to me, GT3 was extremely high for the clocks as well.
marco 3dm03 always produce bugged scores when you're near instability, check sub-scores to see if they are in line with the others around your final score to avoid this
btw
good job from the "new" guys and the olders too, i'll put some boints soner than later.
Someone let me borrow a 980x so I can get top rank in dual 5850's:mad:
Lost my 5th place in Vantage due to everyone running 980's above me and Ive got the better gpu score :cussing:
Thanks mk, i'll keep uploading all the results I can, less 03 runs with high scores
We passed 15400 points today...
