Damn, you guys are freaking lucky.
In order to get my E0 running at 4500 MHZ, it takes above 1.412 volts. At 4.25 any lower than 1.328 will cause problems. And I bought it in late December. The batch number is Q832A389
Any tips to lower the voltage would be appreciated, I want to keep temps down, especially in this warm weather we are getting over here.
Have you tried playing around with the MCH and CPU references? They have helped me run lower vcore before :)
9x500@4500 w/1.31v:D
i was able to lower my vcore by raising my vtt one notch for this run.
but theres only so much that can be done, the rest is up to the cpu.

fatguy1992 was right about the mch refyou really have to find sweetspot
well i switched my mch ref from 0.750 bios/0.700 ET6 to 0.770 bios/0.720 ET6
and was able to drop my vcore even lower.

radaja - what mobo?
Hes using a Gigabyte UD3R I think.
very impressive radaja
last week I had quite new batch Q830A931 of E8500 E0 and it was bad piece:(it was extra heating, because my Intel stock cooler is cooling my E5200 with 1.65V on 68°C Idle...but this E8500 on 1.28V had 90°C in BIOS and I didn't understand it...first step was with 1.4V, but after reboot was temperature in BIOS 125°C:eek:is it normal with stock cooler? my last E8400 C0 was cooling with this stock cooler on 1.5V and temperatures weren't over 90°C

Damn, I need to get me a E0
My E8500 C0 doesn't like anything over 4.3ghz on water
_AntLionBR_ our congratulations man! using noctua great result!
Viva o Brasil!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
radaja, that's a great chip. have you tried max clocks on air for it? tried running SPi 1M at 5ghz? your chip looks very capable of that. and planning to ever sell it at a premium? :hrhr:
thanks guys,it is indeed the UD3R.i was without internet for two weeks
and it almost killed me:D
i havent tried going higher than 1.39v yet.but i will and see how high i can go on air:up:
and as to this "and planning to ever sell it at a premium?" you never know
with my job instability lately,it could very well be on the market at a moments notice
Still breaking in the CPU, got it this afternoon :).

Still in testing phase and yes I know I rushed through the lower speeds (will go back to them) but so far 4.0GHz@1.248V is running strong. Going to do more IBT runs.
I think I'm limited by my motherboard and my cooling... Heck its a CNPS9500! lol
Q845A837 bought it yesterday from Dell. :)
Stepping E0 worth every penny paid friend. It was not beyond 4.5Ghz. :D
