Sounds fine to me, they never made a formal promise.

Not gonna happen for sure. The board is finished with r&d so it's waay too late. (Also, if there was any chance of that happening in the past, I would have heard so from a friend @ Promise.) The only changes they'll make now are ones which are minor. If there is a major change needed for the board, it basically won't get released at all.........

Nah, Oskar was made for this kind of work. Something that most people here don't know - Oskar didn't just "appear" on the scene with DFI. In fact, he was the one who designed Abit's BE6 back in the P2/P3 days. Btw, he did this WHILE STILL IN COLLEGE.... :eek:

yeah he designed the nf7-s and the ic7-g too didnt he? abit's last good boards imo.

s7 you and OPB sure do know more about Oscar and these products than most of us here......you'd probably know what these "minor" changes are as well.....care to share :p

yes i'd sure rather see 350+ HTT 1:1 @ some cool TCCD timings or 300+ HTT @ 2-2-2-5 w/ one of them cool tight timings rams than 4x512 @ 1T all at super cold OR air cooled temps w/ any processor of course

For those who concern about current NF4 series bios, Oskar also told me he will working on that. I will check with him today later.

is OSKAR the one and only competent engeneer DFI can afford??? If it is so, we have to worry a lot! This could explain why my nf4 SLI-DR did not get a new bios (beta or official) after 623-3. I am very very worried about DFI future if they think to put the whole R&D in the hand of a single genius. Oskar is surely one of the best engeneer but in no way he can handle all the design and bios programming of all the best DFI ATI and nVidia boards!!! this is an absurd situation! DFI YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR MORE ENGENEERS!!!! :nono: :slapass:

there are the few ex Abit engineer who join DFI also :p: (the person who design IC7G)

so in future DFI will certainly grow stronger than you ever imagin!!

hell Look at ASUS's famouse A8N SLI-Deluxe :fact: still plenty of stock left in the Reduced price :woot: just who going to buy that :confused:

and not to mention people have done their research on Newest powerful component will buy DFI NF4 as their first choice :cool:

and i mean Oskar is working too hard already!!

RD480+SB450 is the awful chip to working with in the first place :slap: dont even have to mention the buggy SB450!!

but Oskar tune and tune to make OC even possiable!! this is infact a Truth!!
why didn't we see TCCD 2.5 3, 3, 5 1T on the RDX200 board??

I can wait for the Expert. No rush. DFI should send Oscar on a one month retreat to a spa that specializes in teaching stress management, diet and exercise. Take care of the goose laying the eggs. :D Bios updates on the DFI ATI mobo? That can wait too.

I can't wait. Ordering the rest of my system now except the motherboard. One shop here in Norway (netshop.no) just postponed from delivery from 05.11.2005 to 30.11.2005 (unconfirmed deliery ofcourse). I hope a friend will lend me a board while I wait... :(

It makes me wonder why AMD is pushing socket M2 so quickly upon us. I am all for new technology, but I still think 939 is in its primetime. I wish AMD would realize what a successful platform they have built with 939 and keep it as their active socket for at least until Q3 2006.

Just my 2 cents.

Around this time next year we will start to see a lot of boards and cpus, etc. Plus it is never smart to buy the new socket as soon as it comes out. A few people here always do that but there are always bugs. Plus if you wait much better motherboards come out in a month or two.

Five letter word for AMD's greatest fear, Intel. And M2 I suppose is meant to combat that, As the current situation with Intel won't last forever, One day after after 2006 Intel will wake up and come out with a new chipset and and an AMD64 like cpu(almost a clone with no more fsb). Heck AMD is already talking about quad core cpus as this is so far something intel can't just throw together, Like they did with their Frankenstein monster of a cpu.
