:slobber: 512MB X1800XT is only $549!!!
And post-processing for MSAA+HDR!!
Yes, I see that as being a HUGE advantage.Quote:

I just finished looking over the architecture slides. I'm really scared for NVIDIA, technology-wise.
Yeah, these are freaking incredible....I've already started packing up my 7800GTX (well, not QUITE :D).
At those prices I might have to get one just to tinker with...
It's not quite clear to me if the X1800 will use 512mb Memory with 512bit bus or 512mb of memory with 256bit bus.
What I like personally is that it is very programmable to act with CPU. I'm looking forward to using F@H client for GPU's on this card.
It's a 256bit bus for the memory. The 512bit ring bus is something else ;)
Holy cow, look at the difference in F.E.A.R SP. Either extremely biased or that is one hell of a card!!! Maybe ATI pulled it off after all. With that said though they are still 6 months late. I'm more amazed at the x1300, performance is off the chart for a budget card.
now if they came out with some good linux drivers.. They might just eliminate nVidia from my main rig...
(we'll port them to BSD ofcourse)
Official pictures and specs of the X18, the X16 and the X13, including stock 05 scores are out.Quote:

Check the frontpage of the xs news section

and what happens if ati will made x1800xt 512 mb with 24 or 32 pips ??
ATI WILL ROCK THE WORLD!!!!
Or it will only be extremely rare and expensive...Quote:

This is supported by ati's claims that it was a soft ground issue limiting clock speeds, but never said the were having problems with number of pipelines.
is there any info when cards will come to europe?
No. None. ;)

overclockers in the uk are expecting the r520xl by the end of the week so they are coming to europe just in limited numbers
A Norwegian/ Danish online store has listed the x1800xl with expected availability November 4, at the price of 3695 NOK, which is a little less than the least expensive GTX go for in Norway. http://www.shg.no/link.asp?goto=infobox&varenr=341094
With X1800XL it's ok, it is the X1800XT, which is the supposed-7800GTX-killer as well as the supposedly-nowhere-to-be-found-for-2-months card.
which means jack :banana::banana::banana: to me.
My yearly upgrade cycle starts this week and if they miss it completely.. They just missed good money...
