1b. The there is no RD20RZLT. it is the MD20RLZ. That pump is an AC 120v pump which need an adapter to start up with your system. the MD30 on the other hand is DC and runs off of 24v which as mjgent mentioned you can get a 12to 24/15/12/20 volt converter that will allow you to use your 12v line on your PSU. Anyway, the MD20RLZ is not as powerful as the RD30 and is a bit larger.. the RD30 is a more ideal pump.
1C. if you scroll up and look at mjgents posts you will see the psu I am refering to. or atleast a link to it. jsut search for mgjents name in this thread and you will find it.
2. If you look at the fletcher munsen curve, you wil see that something at 40hz is 60 times harder to hear than something at 3khz. So a 3khz at 0db is equivalent to 40hz at 60db according to the human ear. So to anwer you question, the pump will be alot harder to hear than some fans.
3b. yes, doing 5/8" between the res/t-line and pum is optimum, and will be easier for you to install as well.
4. 76.8 watts drawing and it puts 45watts into the water. If you plan to get the RD30 I would advise that you run it at 20v with the PA120.3. This seems to be the sweet spot for everyday use. You can run it at 24v and turn the fans all the way up on the rad for a temporary performance boost.
