:slobber:
can't believe that is on aircooling
all done :D
thawing out...
not bad considering the coldest temp I saw in BIOS was -42C and loaded at -20C
AND at an unmodded and modest 1.82v.....
so, maybe equivalent to a MachII and probably inferior to a 404/507 Prommy...
So with Cascade or LN2...........Hey Chilly1, how's my TOY doin'???

no, no, no........ sorry. I was just making a joke.....compressed carbon dioxide, CO2 = Dry Ice............
;)
Haha... nice stuff dude!
WTG, charlie. So are you reasonably pleased with 939?
Yeah, I think it's great!............except for the issue with PC2700/PC3000 sticks not allowing 2:1 (DDR400)Quote:

32s SPi, that divider is KILLIN' ME!!!!!!!!!!!! OTOH, my 2.8A Prescott at 4271mHz went 32s...........
Greetz, Flox
I can't run it 1:1 (2:1 DDR400) because A8V doesn't allow PC3000/PC2700 rated ram (KHX3000 BH-5) to run at 1:1 (2:1 DDR 400)Quote:

Just for kicks, I cranked up HTT. Relaxed timings and of course a divider.

:D very nice. if you get bored or something see if sett'n trcd=3 gains enough FSB to offset the timing change.Quote:

Working on benches now....
and so ... which is the best bios for the a8v ... with working agp/pci lock ?
i"ll get my fx and board next week :D
anyone running high HTT and 1:1??
And if so, what memory are you running??
I have a couple diffrent kits here but non of them wanna run over 230fsb 1:1.
highest ive gotten to was 242 1:1 with my 2x256 corsair xms3500c2pt 2-3-2-5. Only one i know of higher than that is mdzcpa at 252 with his xms XL.
I suspect soon once everyone gets locks people will be show'n off close to 260 or more with xmsXL or 3500/3700EB with unmodded boards. there will always be the vmodded boards with bh-5 north of 250~260 with 2-2-2-5 timings soon enough also. I think its a little early yet tho as its only been a week since people actualy had stuff in there hands.
Yes, my first one did constantly and only occaisionally the new one when the bios gets corrupted. It should not do this. You should see that when you clear cmos via the jumper, it won't auto start, so it something in the bios chip I think.Quote:

so now what? unlock? might have just as well stuck with the sk8v then. I guess this will all get sorted out just about the time something new comes along. :rolleyes:Quote:

uh. whats more usefull to a a board that does 275+htt. x5 ldt or locked agp/pci bus LOL . I dont think 5x ldt will be much use over 240htt anyway but its just a feeling.
maybe so. i going to be interested to see how other via boards handle this divider. I'm going to try the abit this weekend to see if it's any different for the hell of it.
Looking pretty good there Charlie!
Let us know. If the Abit works well and can be vdimm modded it may be a good choiceQuote:

I was wondering what the heck you meant by carbon dioxide :p:Quote:

From what I am hearing, I doubt it. maybe the DFI 939 boards will be winners. Someone's got to get it right, voltage and all.Quote:

I gave the 5:3 divider another try. This is what I've gotten so far on water.
