Nice! That looks much better.
Yeah totally unnecessary as the are still barely warm at 1.6v but does look better
Very strange thing happened to me two days ago.
Using the same setup for months after very hard testing with Prime95 and never had problems, yesterday a BSOD IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL occurred during Red Alert 3 (after 3 months of playing BF3\Skyrim\Crysis2 etc.!!!). Prime95 still running without problems.
Youre ever so slightly too low on vdimm. Add 0.01/0.02v.
I always find a game that defeats my prime stability. Its usually the most unexpected one too. I didnt know about RA3, but Dirt 3 benchmark caused a lockup for me after 18 hours of prime. Damn thing only runs for 3 or 4 mins.
Prime is still the ultimate for overall stability. I would imagine you could run RA3 with your vcore or vtt or something too low, its just particularly hard on memory (probably due to bad programming lol), thats what I found with Dirt 3.
I just add stuff like that to my list of final tests. :)
IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL is very specific - memory subsystem only.
In the old days (x58 and earlier) low chipset voltage would generate it too, but these days its only vdimm (if youre otherwise stable).
Might have to ask a buddy in the US to go to a microcenter to see if he can pick some up since I can't find anyone in Canada selling them :(
That aluminium heatsink looks pretty good, I assume there would also be somewhat of a heat difference as well?
Seems my 2700K IMC is not the best, or I am just noob at memory clocking.
2700K @ 4.2 GHz (lowered my OC to make sure it's not the CPU holding me back)
ASUS P8P68 Deluxe 2302 BIOS
4 x 4GB HCH9, full size "D" sticks, stock voltage 1.5V.
Quick stability check shows:
1866 9-9-9-27-1T 1.5V stable for LinX 20 passes
2133 10-10-10-28-1T 1.5-1.575V unstable, with higher voltages (1.6V) giving me a BSOD. This is with VCCSA and VCCIO at 1.1Vish.
Hoping to tighten the 1866 to 8-9-9-24, but ultimately I'm hoping to get a 3770K and hit 2133 :)
Which batch of these is turning out to be the best so far?
Makes no difference! :)
So there is no particular good batch? I was considering get some for my IVB
as above.

Corsair H100
got the kit to run at 2666+Mhz.

Wow! Really impressive!
now let's see 32M :)
haha yes Sir!
I was working hard on fine-tuning the board to do that. The best I got so far was to lines 13-16 in the 32M test.
got tired about after two hours, but I have the feeling that with more effort it can be achieved :)
I also wrote it in the Maximus V Gene "beast" thread - I do need the experts advice on how to achieve that.
any help will be much appreciated.
Ive been trying 2666 also, but no luck passing 32m yet. 2600 10-12-12-25-1T Latency Boundary 6-8 is quite doable though, try 12-14 to start off. Rec and Trans slews for my kit did best with both set to 3.
Got 2800 to boot a few times but it seems pointless to keep trying, cant stay in windows.
Anyone know if it's possible for Samsung to make 2x8GB sticks? Debating whether to get these 2x4GB sticks or a G.Skill 32GB (4x8GB) kit...
