Omfg they didnt show Fermi xD Epic Fail
I will need some weeks to understand that awesome amount of data :D
i think the lack of bragging about fermi is a bit of a sign that they are still figuring some things out. im not watching the feed, so i dont know how much they talked, but from what you guys are saying, its practically nothing.
if there was pic of epic fail i could use it right now they pretty much repeated last conference this time with unfinished product lol
They did show 3D vision, actually a huge chunk of the presentation was all about 3D stuff.
In terms of tessellation, it's a DX11 video card so why were you expecting to see something more than DX11? If they have any new features to brag about they will obviously will keep them close to their chest until launch. CES was not the launch event so they didn't have to show anything at all.
Always rude to everyone? I post once or twice a week, and nothing I'm aware of is rude to anyone or everyone. You must mistake me for someone else. Feel free to read through my post history. I might have been direct a long time ago when I was posting regulary, but never utterly disrespectful or rude.
And for the record, I'm not in the slightest being rude, the amount of negatism and trolling on this forum against nVidia is simply appalling. And wether you like it or not, a lot of posts by saaya are negative towards something or the other. If I wanted to be rude, the post would have been a LOT different.
you guys sound like women fighting over purses.
This keynote was so boring. Where can I get the minutes I lost back? Oh wait, I followed Palm's keynote as well and at least they delivered...
I would have at least expect GTX380-sli or something beating HD-5970. That would've been an awesome move and kicked AMD/ATI in teh balls. But meh... one can dream.
Indeed, I just finished the live blog.
6 million pixel, so I guess 3 1080p monitors? That isn't bad.
But NVIDIA claimed "first Bluray 3D hardware" is rather amusing. They don't even have a product out yet, and the market already has at least one Bluray 3D hardware: PS3 :)
this has tons of discrepancies, but still:

Tim you seem to be an nvidia fan so whats wrong with ATI fans? I understand that it is annoying when other people are putting down fermi, a product from which you seem to have great expectations/hope. Anyway as a consumer, i would welcome any sort of competition from nvidia but perhaps due to my inexperience, i am somewhat disappointed since i was expecting more data about fermi.
RLY? Please list the entire hardware setup that lets you watch blue rays movies in 3d using a PS3. Nvidia has the hardware already in place with only blue ray authored DVDs needed to fall into place. I am on a 60" 1080p DLP as I type this . . . Several sets of Nvidia 3d glasses here as well.
This is a kid using my setup at an Intel LAN party

I prefer certain brands to others like any other sane person, but I do have a big problem with people shouting all sorts of abuse at nVidia and that amount adds up to an incredible amount from the ATi fans, which in my humble opinion just gets to the point where it's enough is enough. Yes, Fermi is late, really late, but at least it's coming, and seems to have good performance from reports so far. Everybody knows Fermi is late, but c'mon, some people are really beating up a dead horse.
I was just as glad and had high hopes for ATi's current generation, just like I've got high hopes for Fermi. Nothing wrong with that.
I wanted to see a lot more information too, but if any other launch is anything to go by, proper leaks will soon come, and I'm quite happy to check back in now and then to watch the prelaunch speculation. At the moment, I'm quite happy seeing Fermi running something substantial.
Nvidia isn't getting flak from just ATI people, there's a pretty general consensus lately due to their marketing tactics, renaming, and fighting over PhysX, CUDA, etc. with others that has gone on for some time, and it's built up when their cards keep seemingly be delayed
There's no need to take it personally at all and get caught up over it. Your best bet is just to sit back and relax and wait..
On a PC equipped with a blue ray drive and an Nvdia GPU with 3d kit . . .
They have had their product out since last CES including short movies in 3d. They DID NOT say they would have a blue ray drive they said they has the first blue rad 3d hardware meaning the ability to handle the hardware and software part displaying 3d stereo images. That has nothing to do with the blue ray medium other than the capacity making it feasible.
