They are plastic. They have paint, that I guess, is specially formulated for plastic at the hardware store.

Well I'm just about to paint my HAF, bought some mathe black and red spray paint. I'm gonna paint the plastic clips on the drive bays red. Are they easily removable? Also, I was uncertain wether or not the red paint would stick in plastic, so I tried spraying some paint on the red cap that's on the spray bottle. It's about the same plastic as the quick-mount clips. It dried there perfectly so I guess it's safe to paint the clips with this paint, right?
EDIT: Oh, and on the can it says that the paint can be used for (they assume it's used on cars) car's metal and plastic parts. Sorry for my noobiness. I haven't done this before
EDIT2: I just finished painting the case with mathe black. There are several little parts that need painting (such as the drive bay clips). This was my first time painting a computer case, and IMO it finished off nicely. Do i have to apply something protective material on the paintinfg surface, or is it ok to leave as it is?
cian1500ww very clean rig :worship:
Ok you can forget my earlier questions, I got it sorted out. I actually ran out of the red paint already so I guess I'm gonna drop at the hardware store and buy some Vinyl Dye (or whatever it is). Then I can paint the mount clips :).
There's just one thing that really bugs me now. As I'm new to spray painting, I "forgot" to sand the metal and apply the primer. I just basically sprayed the color right on to the surface of the case. Hope it won't come off :(. It has been drying there for two days, and I still get a little bit color to my finger if I touch certain spots. I think I gotta wait a few days at least before I can clear coat it. What do you guys think?
Hi all,
I would like to quote a new review with lot of photos about the HAF 932: LINK :)
i removed the hdd rails and made a custom psu mount. for the psu power cable i used an L-type psu power cable and extended the plug towards the rear of the case.Quote:
wait, how did you mount the PSU like that?
Did you fabricate that plate and rig that plug up?
I would think the side panel mod(which looks beautiful, btw) took more time than painting it... I've done camo paintjobs before(not on a case, but I'm guessing same idea) and all it took was a cardboard stencil and careful application of spraypaint
Let's have a look at what's inside that!
How does the airflow compare now that you've butchered the side panel where the 230mm fan goes?
thanks all! i've posted the completed case a few pages back. you can check out slave 1974's qouted pics. it's the same case :D i just changed the exterior color but basically whats inside is still the same.

Another awesome mod by Tantric! He did a couple of mods for my casings before and all I can say is...AWESOME workmanship!
damn nice haf:eek:
I really like that camo paintjob, except I feel the HAF is more of a woodland camo type of humvee(get it? :ROTF::ROTF::ROTF:)
In that 3rd pic, what is that display? That's one fancyass fan controller 0.0.
gotta love the different ways you can watercool in this case
Ok guys, ultra noob question here :P
What kind of LED's did you use to replace the red ones on the front fan? Because I'd like to change mine for green one's.
That kind of LED would do?

That IDE cable goes to a BluRay +-RW Multi Drive... which I got for free. These things are like 200$ in the SATA flavor, so just use the IDE version that I got for free.
These were taken 2 nights ago, and I suck at night shooting(never have good enough lighting). I might get better looking photos after I finalize this build.

Anemic - I'm new to liquid cooling and am holding a HAF932 case in reserve while I learn about putting these 2 together in a great build.
Could you post more shots of your HAF932 setup? I would especially appreciate close-ups showing the detail of your liquid cooling hardware.
Thanks!
P.S. Nice job of handling the default grey paint in the interior.
