I received my P5Q Dlx few hours ago and will check Tonight ;)
My sticker says Taiwan but in the PCB it says China. :(
RealTelstar, what fan solution?
The mobos from taiwain is better than the mobos made in china???
and what is the function of this news options on the bios?
CPU Clock Skew
NB Clock Skew
I had two Asus Commando's,one from Taiwan and one from China.
Taiwan 570Mhz-stable
China about 530Mhz-stable
I did not found any differnce between pcb's..
my current p5q dlx is made by China, which is not a best choice I see.....
Hey Leeghoofd (Emptyhead)
I am wondering how they compare,i didnt buy it yet .. i want to know why one should go with deluxe over pro ...
for sure the DLX PWM is way better for quads... and it has more tweaking options in the bios... I'll try to see if Jupiler already has some info...
Leeghoofd , I'm about to take the plunge and order the P5Q Deluxe could you tell me if my current memory will work or do I need to upgrade. Current memory is Corsair XMS2 PC6400C4 DDR2, thanks for your help.
Those Corsairs have different revisions, some clocked well above specs some were horrible... so you will have to test yaself mate... if the ram holds ya back Ebay them and buy some PC8000 or 8500 rams... Please flash 0702 or 0704 ( not yet tested here ) bios , most peeps have better ram compatability with the latter biosses...
Good luck keep us posted !!
I purchased some reaper 8500 and it sucked vs my PC6400 C4 corsair
I still have some freezing issues but not sure if its windows or a ram problem.
Hey Lee I need to update my bios since I don't have a floppy what do you recommend for a bootable CD or can I load from EZflash ??
I put the 0610 bios on a CD but EZ didn't seem to see it
what about WINflash ??
What are people using to read the chipset voltages in Windows?
Just tried the latest Everest and AI Suite and neither can read them.
USB stick mate, works fab everytime
No readouts foreseen for these mobo's... only way to find out is via a digital multimeter... readout points here :

Stock chipset voltages -
PLL - 1.50v
FSB Term - 1.20v
NB - 1.10v

Way to go Cob!! Awesome FSB on stock volts.
Lee - I saw a few additional settings in the BIOS then the ones you had mentioned in your recommendation. Just wondering if any of them might be critical for me, especially under the Advanced CPU Settings:
(PS: Anyone running Q9450 on this board also welcome to share BIOS settings for stable OC'ing)

For more ram performance set AI transaction booster to MANUAL and try 2 settings below the auto setting... eg if auto is 13 try to boot with 11 and run eg Superpi 32M, if all okay set again one lower...
eg I tested with 400FSB and 1003 ram you can expect 7-8 PL, for 425FSB and ram at 850 expect 9-10...
Finally I got my P5Q Deluxe, after changing coolers, and after having few BIG problems (if I have changed ANYTHING in bios there was no boot), no boot with PCI-E over 106mhz,... Finally I got somewhere (stable 3600mhz;(, but I'm still far from my Maximus OC.
Can someone helps me BIOS settings for Q6600? Thank you!
Btw whats all about this China/Taiwan sticker?

Tighten those performance levels Cob..., try setting NB voltage (1.3 doesn't post) yaself and stock settings is not AUTO or do you mean AUTO settings in bios... these are predermined values by the bios engineers and can be pretty high... set manually one by one... good CPU mate !!!
