so, which bios is best for sapphire HD3870?
The one at techpower is ok try it.
I can't recommend any Bios just yet. It seem the one from TechpowerUP is supose to fix the a few things but since this doesn't work for me and I get the same results than i had before flashing the bios, i really don't know.Quote:

flashed with bios from inq site.
904mhz gpu is fine for 3dmark03 but gives me vpu recover in 05.
the funny thing is that crysis timedemo gave me 11fps more compared to stock bios.. same clocks, it just is 11fps faster:D
flashed in win, didint uninstall or reinstall drivers..
I'm using BETA which is managing FAN speeds properly. It keeps temps at 60C for both cards and still is quiet :) . No problem with above 860MHz core as well;) .

where -f was important addition to this procedure :)

it would not do 1000mhz with no matter the volts when i had the normal air. but when i chilled the air it went like a mofo.
i have also noticed the little increase of score from 860-960 is about yes 100-200 marks on my weak s939 x2 3800.
