I got version 0.94 from their website:

The 0.94 link is right below 0.95
Is this like the Commando where it gotta reboot 3 times before the final reboot into the OS????
I hated the Commando for that & Asus!
Anyone tested 4x1024mb on this board, im still wating for mine but start thinking to return it before i even got it because 680i is good with 4 sticks. sry if someone already asked in this thred but im at wrk don't have that much time too read every post made:/
i read somewhere it handles mismatched memory very well.
Mine are a mix of Geil Ultra DDR2-1000 and DDR2-1160's running 4-4-4-12 DDR2 1000 right now. Still tinkering but getting them up and running was a matter of running full auto, popping them in and away she went. Both the P5K and the Deluxe have been very easy to work with thus far...very happy with this chipset.
And what gives you the impression that the SB cooling isn't adequate and that it's going to be what holds back your overclock? I haven't even seen anyone mention even upping the voltage to the SB at all for any overclock. I can't imagine it being hot enough to matter since the heatpipe assembly on my board is working rather well.
I interpreted it as him not being satisfied with the stock cooling in general and having parts to handle NB and mosfet. His inquiry about sb was asking if he needed any at all.
My heat pipes are working pretty well so far too, but it gets pretty warm around nb/cpu/ram and I'm eventually going to be trying it out with some other cooling just to see.
I dunno. I'm running 515Mhz FSB on mine with only 1.4v NB and stock SB and the NB and the rest of the heatpipe assembly don't hardly get more than warm. I don't even have direct cooling on the NB sink at the moment since I took out that extra 120mm fan I had mounted above my video card. Right now I just have a rear 120mm exhaust and two 120mm fans blowing down over the motherboard. My NB temp right now running small fft's is only 28C. Jumps up to low to mid 30's on large fft's.
4gb of Crucial running here; also no heat problems; doesn't even get warm at 460 fsb.
Just installed my other 2 gigs of RAM in this board a minute ago. Running 4x1GB of Crucial PC-8000 Ballistix Tracer now under Orthos Blend.
I have a DFI dark, I would be good for catching p5k dlx or for waiting for x38?
The mb temps can be deceiving my MB temps show 29-30C but I've got a couple of fans blowing over the pwms, they are really freakin hot. :yepp: q6600 8*450(3.6ghz) = a pwm Killer I believe . Anyone going to put heatsinks on the 8 voltage regs?
is there anyway to boot with this board with pc5300 ram? Without having the ability to change spd on another pc?
You can probably do 4-4-4-12 at DDR800 no problem with 4 sticks. I know these Tracers don't like 4-4-4-12 too well at the speeds I've been running them over 1000Mhz. I've got all four at 1030Mhz 5-5-5-15-6-30-6-6-6 1:1 at the moment with 2.2v. I might be able to get 4-4-4 with 2.35-2.4v at this speed. Not really worth it though.
Nah, after much testing it seems the only thing holding my Q6600 overclocking back is the CPU voltage/Heat. The P5K is running fine at 394FSB at 5:6. (I do have a 140mm fan blowing towards RAM/CPU/NB from under the DVDdrive bay)
I am very happy with the P5K - seems to have all the headroom you need for quadcore.
Of course ask me in summer ;)
Pretty much spot on...I'm running my Geils 2.4v 4-4-4-12 @ ddr1000...I paid top dollar for these things several months ago and they are rated at 2.4~2.45. They are actively cooled...I'll be damned if I run em' slower than rated ;) They die, they get replaced under lifetime warranty...
Will the 4 sticks of RAM run at 1T command rate? I remember when I built my current A64 system that people were saying for 4 sticks you had to use 2T, I didn't know if that applied here too.
Thanks for the previous reply Eva.
