can someone post pics of the box/cpu or oem cpu that was received?
Out of all the members that ordered and preordered conroe, how many people have received them?? I'm on other computer websites and I havent read of anyone getting one:eek:
Thats my stupid question of the day, everyone asks at least one
Thread merged - tireless bachus_anonym :)
There have been some X6800s released and some 6300s from what I've seen but the rest (6400, 6600, 6700s) are to be wide-spread available in the early August scene (4th-7th)
I just received a Fedex tracking number from ZipZoomFly. My CPU was picked up according to them early yesterday and is in transit.
Yes it's just an E6300. I thought about it and am going for the E6700 for the 10x multi, so this is going to be sold. Good thing I didn't break the seal.Quote:

lol bachus_anonym is doing a good job merging all the threads...there are at least 10 merged into this :). GJ.
Back on topic, here at work we just ordered two dell conroe based systems. I think we got the E6600 on both. Too bad I can't overclock them....damn the government and its dell contract  .
SNeak in a PD805 in there, nobody would notice! hahaha. Just don't get :slapass:Quote:

TD was the most interesting and the most dissapointing to me personaly because the guy said that they had exclusive rights on the OEM cpus to ship them as they get them (basically Intel can't stop them, they paid Intel for this I guess) and that they got 150 E6600's in today (Friday) but they had backorders for 163 (this is when I called at noon) and the next shipment wasn't until August 8th, so I missed the boat by hours literally >.<
ZZF gave no help, when I called yesterday though they said the E6600's should be in stock Monday, 7/31; I would be checking the website, if they show stock but don't say that they wont ship until August 7th, you may want to order fast come Monday-ish, but this is uncertain.
Newegg has no sales department and customer service just told me they were getting a bunch of calls but they still don't have any information at this time about potential stock dates and that they will "be sure to let their customers know when they do have them on the website" whatever that means, maybe they will just show it on the front page :P
Ok hope this helps! I have all the rest of my parts arriving on Monday, it will be a LONNNNGGG week :P

Also i ordered my board from Newegg yesterday at 3:30pm and it still hasn't shipped yet! I live 40 minutes away and want to pick it up, but they said no.
So much drama! lol
yeah I guess were in a reverse boat :P my P5W DH arrived today (among other parts) but I likely won't be getting cpu until the 8th of August. If you ordered an OEM I might be feeling good if what that guy told me was correct, he sounded like he knew what he was talking about and that he had been on top of it all day.
If you ordered a retail on the other hand.. Who knows :P
I really hope this isn't a bunch of smoke and mirrors. Has anyone got an OEM e6600 from them yet? I ordered mine (OEM, not retail) at 1:15pm est yesterday; from what I understand that was around an hour after they went up. My order is still listed as backordered.Quote:

I haven't decided what motherboard to get yet (can't find the MSI975x v2 board release date  ), so it's not that important to me yet; however, I'm a little concerned about what I'm hearing TD reps are saying and what I'm seeing on my order status.
Using one right now.Quote:

For what? I've already sold my X2 :) I am using 2 out of the 4GB I ordered for the Conroe in a HP slimline PC (Celeron M 1.6 @ 2.13Ghz).Quote:
