Any ideas why Wprime and Aquamark would not start on my rig?
Wprime crash on startup with error (without starting any calculation) and Aquamark just would not start (tried admin mode, no joy).
Got 3d 2003 & 2005 now so will be running shortly :)
Wprime run as administrator on Vista/win7 (should work unless very unstable) Aquamark3 needs a 64 bit patch

I know I and others who have had 45nm i7s like the 920s who ran them on phase or cascade at 5ghz high voltages through futuremark benches for over a year all the time. Sometimes after a while the chip will wear down and you'll have to lower the clocks a little bit(maybe 50-100mhz) with the same voltages to get stable again. I don't think its bad though. :up:Quote:

We are having a little trouble with cold bugging, which shouldn't be happening so we are tweaking RAM timings and such at the moment.

Yes, Q822A435 and Q820A598 are the great batches, in general the early batches ( Q820 and Q822 ) are better than more recent ones.
Stole the stock cooler from my 7950GT and tweaked and benched an Evga 7800GT and 7800GTX today. :up:

The Ram Clocks section looks a bit premature, no specified DDR, DDR2, and DDR3 yet. Looks like people are just posting whatever with SS that don't show anything.

Yes, it's a bit premature indeed. MaxxMem still doesn't have the choice for DDR, DDR2 and DDR3 as well, but RB is informed about this, but since both benchmarks are not awarded points it's low on the priority list I guess.

My R3E's tripple channel stopped working so it might be a little while till I'm back up and running again. Got a bunch of GPUs to test on LN2. :up:
As a side note, I'm going to sell my GTX 480 and need to get a 1200w PSU so if anybody wants the GPU LMK.... The GPU will be up in the FS section this week.
This 480 does 900/1167 on stock cooling 1.30v in 85oF ambient and 1075/1200+ on LN2 at -90oC without OVP or OCP mods.
Gunna try and get some good numbers on my XFX 5770 over today and tomorrow. Guys got some tips/tricks? I've found the Vmod I need also if I can get a DICE container for it!

edit: also in regards to overclocking my 5770. Linux and I have been PM'ing each other about tips and tricks overclocking it. I can't seem to find a version of msi afterburner that will allow me to get past 1.35 volts though - asked around in the guru3d afterburner home forums too. No luck!
Update: Working on 1000/1200 as we speak. So far I am at 990/1200 @ 1.27v~1.28v, I really started seeing voltage tweaks around a 970 core. I hope I can get a little further on less voltage for the rest of the night!
-End of the night: I couldn't get a stable 1000/1200 even @ 1.30v~1.31v. Its bed time :)

I got 1010 @ 1.35v~1.36v. Either something is bugging my chip or I just got unlucky with my card. People say they are seeing temperatures of up to 77* at 1.275v. I only saw a maximum temperature of 60* at 1010/1200 1.35v. Seems a little wacko to me!

I think I got the upper hand on my base clock with my 955BE over others 1090T's, but my 5770 will not outperform the GTX275 on the 3D01 run. Anyone got one I can buy for $100.00 or rent for a security deposit fee?

Tested my w3520 fail :( -60 CBB, couldn't validate past 5103 and now for some reason turbo mode isn't working anymore.

no it didn't coldest I had it was -65 and would CBB -50 to -60 tried reseating a couple times. Wasn't even that good of a chip, maybe ill rma for the turbo issue, i won't change settings at all sometimes it works other times it doesn't IDK.
Its here and even matches my RIIIE and Mushkin Redlines. :D
