So got a E8400 from Fredeb
Just tested some fsb got to 560 on air....seems good with voltage on air.
Did some pi run was able to use setFSB and got 4.82ghz was almost finished typing to save and it bsod ...time was a 9.59 sec run at 1m
But here is a 4.76ghZ
Stock cooling btw...running a Crucial ballastix DDR2 1000 1gig stick only. only have this one stick lol...other one died. 2.4v yes remember this is air.
Cpu 1.5v E8400 - its a Q782 or something...not like mine which was an early week

Love the one stick!! you weren't kidding you really do need to find some RAM.

This is a good stick of ram though. it should see some really good PI runs. And should be able to tweak it really well once i get the better cooling on the CPU.
You really only need one stick of ram for the benches im doing so i should be ok.
Otherwise ive got my Axe 2x2gig set in my normal pc.
Ari.....this chip will see at least over 5.1ghz i rate on ice water

My golden Ballistix sticks are dying on me :(, such great sticks, I might have to bake and freeze them. Today I upgraded to 6GB of RAM, G.SKILL F2-PC8500CL5D, I got 2x2GB and 2x1GB stick, total of 4 DIMMs.
2.05vDIMM in BIOS, 2.02v real, loose perf level and tRFC, for assured stability

Previously I couldn't compile Linux kernel without gcc getting a segfault, and when transferring gigabyte files over LAN & crossover I would get corrupted files, well not anymore:

I want to upgrade my cpu E6850 with Q9550 but my motherboard he don`t want to accepted Q9550. Give the error 88. How can i make this to work with this motherboard ?

She don`t accepted with this bios Q9550 E0 and Q9650 E0... But Q9550 C1 working perfect with this bios. What bios version can i updated ?
