Hi All,
Does anyone have any fitment issues with the DFI LP P35 LT using a Ultra 120 Extreme along with an HR-05 or Hr-05 SLI NB Cooler? From what I can tell it seems like it would be a close call.

Still trying for 550FSB on my P35, this time with my new E8500. I'm currently not having any luck, but I did decide to stop being lazy and pulled out my DMM for taking VTT and GTL measurements. I have found my board overvolts VTT a bit, so if I set to 1.28v in BIOS I get 1.30~1.31v real. As far as GTLs go, for 1.30VTT real, 58= 63% and 45=61%. Unfortunately, this knowledge isn't helping me with my FSB :( Northbridge volts are at 1.57, RAM on the 333/667 divider PL8 2.10v. I have the multiplier at 7 so as not to stress the CPU much, with volts at 1.20v.
nice :)
i have a question regarding undervolting a processor. i got an e0 e8500 and got it fully stable slightly overclocked to 355fsb while undervolted to 1.08v from stock vid of around 1.225v. i have c1e & eist enabled as well. now my problem is, during idle, the cpu voltage would go up to 1.1v (while decreasing the multi to 6x) while at load it stays down at 1.08v. i believe this is caused by either c1e or eist.
is there a way to lower the idle power voltage in the bios(or somewhere else) while i have my cpu undervolted & power saving features enabled? something like a negative cpu vid special add option? i have the 05/21/08 bios btw..
thanks
this is what i'm talking about btw:

hrmm ok thanks i will try that. i'm hoping that the lowering of the multiplier & lowering of the vcore are 2 separate features
Wow,I'm really glad this thread is going strong.Had my DFI LP P-35 LT in storage and have'nt been able to play with it since late 2008.(moving around alot, loss of job ,residence, one bad thing after another) really encouraging to see this thread is still very active.I see I made a good choice with this mobo. Just want to start playing with it to see what it can do,with my Q6600 finally.Going to get it out of storage this week.Been way too long.Have to read back into this long thread and play catch up.
By the way, here are the newest drivers for Intel Chipsets http://majorgeeks.com/Intel_Chipset_...ity_d1667.html
ver 9.1.1.1015, unavaible on Intel Site, don't now why
And for jmicron chip ftp://jmicron.com.tw/jmb36x/XP_Vista_Win7/
hey guys, i've had my dfi ut p35 t2r for a fair while now, i posted in here back when this tread was new, anyway my p35 has been retired to a basic system that my partner uses, it turned itself off today and wont power back on, if i use the psu switch it will power up and then power off once without anything on the screen, i have tried 3 different PSU's, 5 different video cards, 3 sets of ram, another cpu, my spare bios chip, a cmos clear for 1 hour with nothing connected, anybody ever had this?
Regards Andrew
waiting to find that out, i have spoken to my supplier and he is checking the the status.

Pulled my DFI LanParty UT P35-T2R out of retirement for my secondary pc , I always used with quads , but heard she was better to use with Duals , so I decided to make a budget system with this e5200 and a ati hd 4770 ..
On first boot 3500 not bad and to make up for my G Skillz F2- 6400 2GB I used a 4/5 divider to bring up fsb 292 as this chip doesnt like over 300 i heard , unless I choke it with voltage , also I have a intel 9650 quad heat-sink on her with arctic silver so in prime 15 hours she was hitting up to 78 c , but all and all with some tweaking I think all is good  any suggestion on tweaking let me know guys , oh ya i forgot what do i set vdroop on this board again disabled right ?

Working on my first serious 24/7 overclock. I have read through this thread for weeks. I am on air and do not seem to being doing to bad with temps. SG shows 40 C for both NB and PWM under load and CoreTemp shows < 60 C on my e8400 cores hammered. For 24/7 stability what is suggested highest CPU VID Control, NB Core Voltage, and CPU VTT Voltage? I know this is quite subjective but looking for thoughts from way more experienced ocers.
Ok so I got the Gskill 1200MHz PI 4Gb kit last April and I was able to hit 500 FSB
easy on 2.4multi on RAM AKA 333/800 divider-I could barely boot above above 450FSB with my PNY kit.
The chip does 3.8GHz@9.5x PL 5 5:4 24/7 IBT /dual Prime/gaming stable at a couple notches above my stock VID of 1.25V.
I am shooting for >4Ghz and later getting the RAM up to 1300 or close if possible.
I can currently boot to windows and bench at 522 but when I go up to 532FSB -PL9 pulled in to 8- I can POST but the system will freeze before the initialization screen finishes showing the RAM speed etc. so I can't get into BIOS to view and set the fine delays-I have heard those can help with that condition and did Most Def help to get my P4 631 up to 300FSB :yepp: but the settings the board sets up for me are totally different and unique with my E8500 and FSB/strap selection.
The system will boot into windows up to 522x8.5 (currently running x8) yielding a CPU speed of 4.437GHz at 1.42V. NB volts are 1.55V ,Gtls are biased up between 61-63% w/VTT at 1.38V, Vdram is 2.15V Measurements were taken from test points on board:up:
Timings are 5-5-5-15-5-56-pl8 all Phz pulled in to 7-ODTauto{always reads8)-14-12-5-8-5-5-5Auto-Auto
I am also using the yellow RAM slots currently-dimm slots 2 and 4 based on a suggestion from a fellow OC'er I ran into at Fry's- he said that helped him use 2:1 divider on his ASUS DDR3 board but said that that has helped for DFI boards as well:shrug: I noticed it made 522 more possible than before.
Fine Delays below are all current as that has got me this far w/o a hitch. @522-
44 \all three clock crossings are set to More Aggressive
445 \RD GNT, WR GNT, and CR are set to 2
756 \Enhanced data is FAST, Address is Normal, t2 Dispatch and all
512 \ appropriate CPU features are disabled
44 \Cooling CPU with Corsair H50 and MX-2 under every 'sink on MB
512 \NB and PWM temps are fine but IBT maxes out CPU temp and
756 \ causes reboot-no surpise:rofl: Prime temps are ok though
445 \No 3.3, 5 and 12V drop at load to speak of.
The system seems to be ok on Memtest V. 2.01 *edit however 1024k fft just caused hard freeze but no reboot*
At 8.5 multi-On prime 95 8k FFT lasts for about 3-4 runs and makes PWM squeal then the sound goes away just before the system freezes and reboots.UT3 and Crysis warhead bench does not squeal but does freeze then reboot as does CPU test Proxycon on 3dmark '05. Super Pi Mod 1.5 yields around 10.25s for 1M. Pulling 23-24K on 3dmark '05 and 41-49k on '03 with OC'd 4870
Everest Ultimate trial version yields almost 10K across the board
-R=10182 -W=10884 -C=9887 -t=50.4
The PSU I have has 4 18 amp 12V rails if it helps to know-and I am currently familiar with the single Vs. multi-rail debate-'twas months after my PSU purchase that I found out *sigh*
Are there any fine delay setting suggestions to at least get back into BIOS for >522FSB? Am I at the limit of my chip;strap; or PSU-[OCP kicking in?]or did I miss something(s)?
There are many well-versed OC'ers in this forum and any feedback on the matter is much appreciated!
use green slots they clock better
yellow slots clock better on the ddr3 board;)
loosen ple level go as high as you can then you can think about tightening memory
and use aggresive not verry aggressive
