Grnfinger what gadget are you using to display the Everest info?
@ Grnfinger
Can you share your bios setting to get 4.3Ghz
I got almost the same setup as you but BSOD right after windows is loading when go beyond 450fsb
Max I got stable so far is 4.0Ghz (450X9) vcore 1.39
I don`t get 3,8Ghz stable with my E6750.
500x7 is stable with 1,29VNB 1,20VFSB and 1,337VCore (Biossettings).
450x8 is stable with 1,25VNB 1,20VFSB and 1,325VCore.
Using ram @ 1200 and 2,14V in Bios for both settings, stable. Tested settings with OCCT slider at cpu, middle and ram for over 10hours each without errors.
Now I tried 475x8 with ram @ 1141Mhz(2,14V) using 1,425VCore first.
With 1,29VNB and 1,20VFSB I get an error after about 2hours with slider at ram.
With 1,25VNB and 1,20VFSB I get an error after about 2hours with slider at ram.
With 1,27VNB and 1,20VFSB the system restarted itself after 5hours OCCT (slider ram).
I don`t get this, exspecially(?) if you take a look at stable setting for 500x7 and 450x8!?
Any Ideas?
Edit: I`m using TB disabled relax0 and AI moderate like I do for 1200Mhz within 333strap. Tighter TB or AI settings won`t boot, I guess, this both settings aren`t the problem.
Hi espiso, it could be that higher multi is more demanding, eventho u are on a dual core, the volts u are giving on the NBv and fsbv are very low @ 475fsb, I should pump a few notches more.. try that first. It could be that 7x multi was less demanding, could be a divider issue.

Hey guys my temps went up 4 degrees in the last 2 days any ideas why,i'm on wc.
TY
I know there are more things that doesnt makes sense to me from this board like the prime issue i got, but back to your issue, 500fsb is with 7x multiplier right, well It could be like I mentioned it was less demanding then 8x multiplier, and did u already try upping the volts? try for example: fsbv: 1.40 and NBv: 1.47/1.49, this isnt much at all even for dual cores at that fsb. I will get my E8500 in a few days and I will try it out at those fsb.
I would check Performance level of ram using Memset. Probably find your TRd is 8 for 450 and 500 but at 475 it is 7 (due to different ram divider). Guessing but worth a check. Lower TRd = higher voltage for the north bridge.
The anandtech article is really good at explaining why some configurations require a much higher north bridge voltage. Remember the main component of the north bridge is the memory controller.
The Anhandtech article could be very good, but it`s hard for me to understand the text completly. I am german and my english isn`t good enough, that would be much work for me to get it understanded.(?)
I can try changing TB level, but I don`t think, that ram will boot then. My ram only works fine with only one TB setting, for example:
1200Mhz Strap 333 needs TB disabled relax1, ALL other settings TB won`t boot.
And 1200Mhz Strap 400 needs TB enabled boost0, ALL other settings TB won`t boot.
Thank you for your help anyway :yepp:
Hey Guys, I have a really strange issue that hopefully someone can help me with.
The problem started last night where after running the system for over 3 weeks completely stable, it just rebooted and the board flashed my bios to 0602. I was previously on 0903 and didn't realize the board flashed the bios, so the system was completely instable afterwards. I flashed the bios to 0907, played some cod4, everything seemed ok. Then I decided to run prime overnight and this morning I found the system to have rebooted with the bios flashed back to 0602.
What would be some reasons for the instability to happen all of a sudden??
Here are my settings:
FSB:450
Mulitplier:8
vcore: 1.39
vpll: 1.6
Boot Strap: 333mhz
Dram: 1086 @ 5-5-5-15
command: 2T
Vfsbt: 1.52
vnb: 1.63 (using 4gig of ballistix 8500)
vdram: 2.13
transaction booster: disabled
dram static read: enabled
My previous settings when it was 3+ weeks stable was the same as above but with a vdram of 2.04 (2.1 actual).
I'm just looking for a few suggestions to try tonight, since I'm at work atm..
Yea man, not joking, but that's part of the features of teh board.
I'm looking for suggestions on why the instability happened in the first place.
hmm odd m8, I have never seen this. But like I said, this board is abit weird, I for example got the Prime95 issue, when going past 1.40vcore... and I dont see peeps with this prob...
how'd you flash 907?
I used the Ez Flash in the bios, but I changed all the settings to default first. That's what I used to flash to 0903 from 05?? when I first got the board..
What exactly is this feature you speak of?
I have some really excellent weed and it wont make my board flash to a previous bios.
Perhaps you need to call some sort of rehab facility?
Really tho all kidding aside maybe a call to Asus and report this rare occurance to them, maybe they can perform an exorcist on the board:rofl:
