Its Overdue

I was really wish for the 1xxx bios versions for the maximus

perhaps an older version of Asus Update might work for it flashes back from the 9 series to the 8 series rather well?
I haven't tried afudos yet but I did try Asus Update right back to the first beta for v6 (which works going from 090x to earlier) with no luck. It insists it's a different model and refuses to flash it.
I used to have a windows flasher that would force anything if you wanted it to, WinFlash? Or something similar to that as WinFlash looks like GPU flashing when I google it...?
Can some one help me and tell me if this is correct?
Asus probe temps are 0.1 over on the ram and 0.5 under on Vcore for what i set in the bios?? WTF?
why so inaccurate?
Also since i installed this board.
my 12v rail is 12.32
my 3.3v is at 3.2
my 5v is at 4.9
on my other asus all these were perfect????
You wouldnt be talking about UNIFLASH?
from the web site...............
"UniFlash is a flash utility, that can flash BIOS on many boards.
UniFlash is made to be universal - this can be useful when you're hot-flashing your bios in another motherboard.
Not only that - it supports some PCI cards too and also supports c't Flasher ISA card."

I'm not going to be the first to brick my board:D
All right well I ordered the Geil 2x2Gb DDR2-800 4-4-4-12 so it should be here in a few days....I'll post results.
Yes, and would like to hear your re-mount story in this thread: ;)
Edit this line with your info, and make your submission to the thread below please...
Grnfinger --------- 1.54v ------ 34°C -------------------------- Q6600 GO @ 3.6GHz (Reseated W/MX-2, NB was 48°C)

Question: Are the V-reg or choke chips marked 'R68' located around the CPU worth cooling with some forged copper sinks?
How hot do they get on the Maximus?
very nice quality board you got there
If it doesn't work I'll boot it with the Driver CD in the drive and it should force a reflash to the stock bios. If however it doesn't work, I'll just notch it up to experience and take one for the team...
I'm pretty sure it does have the EPU as it's the same PCB, just higher binned, but identical, North Bridge chips!
Well my Geil Esoteria 2x2Gb DDR2800 4-4-4-12 memory arrives on Friday...so I'll have some results with them.....I hope running 2 DIMMs instead of 4 allows me to run FSB 475........
BTW these DIMMs are warrantied up to 2.5V
BTW what slots are you guys with 2x2Gb using? Blue or white?
Hello,
have anyone installed 4 x 2GB (or 4 x 1 GB) on Formula Maximus and if, how much voltage are you set to the northbridge?
My Problem:
before i have a upgrade from 4 x 1 GB (Corsair XMS2-6400C4) to 4 x 2 GB (Exceleram 6400 C4) done, i must change the northbridge voltage from default to 1.47V to become the memory stable. Now i am on 4 x 2GB and im interestit to test lower voltages.
How much voltage are on your on full memory slots?
Greets,
Cb
I don't know if anyone is running 4x2Gb  but I am running 4x1Gb ATM (until Friday, then 2x4Gb), but I run 1.63V on the NBV for an OC of 23x8 DDR2-1128.....however the divider isn't completely stable. For best stability on FSB over 400 I would recommend running auto FSB strap and auto DRAM freq.....this way it's 1:1.
I can pass memory tests for hours with dividers, but using OCCT or Prime95 my PC will crash after 15 minutes or so.
Guys, everyone seems to think this board overvolts VDIMM by a fair amount (I'm not disagreeing here). My question is - is this based on BIOS/software readings or has someone measured it with a DMM? I'd like to know where the measuring points are so I can measure them for myself. I had some Ballsitix die on me and I *suspect* it is due to the board overvolting.
If anyone can point these out, I would appreciate it and it will probably help a bunch of others keep their RAM safe and/or dial in their OC.
