I tried to flash my P4C800 Deluxe with that bios too and after the flash i can get in the bios and save the settings but after that it won't boot and i have to erase the bios settings to boot and get in the bios again but than i have the same problem again, after save settings it won't boot :(
I did use Afudos 1.16 and the boottrick.
Is it possible to use the P4C800-E Deluxe bios in the non E version because i want to change the multiplier.
I now use the program Eist to change the multiplier in windows but i'm not sure if it's stable because i can't get a higher fsb than 214.
I can run Superpi 1M at 13x214 but 10,11 or 12x215 gives a error in Superpi.
Or does my M740 not like a higher fsb than 214 :(
It's prime stable at 13x200@1,375V with the standard cooler.

Beware to DISABLE the onboard LAN when you flash a different bios in your mobo.......and KEEP it DISABLE........Forget the onboard LAN....... :)
why is that?
Do you know this from personal experience? Others have reported that LAN, sound and RAID all work fine after flashing P4P800DLX to P4P800SE.Quote:

if i disable the lan, can work the save setting?
so does anyone know what exactly this bios does for a p4p800se?
I just picked up a second 730 hoping for a good chip for my P4P800SE. My first 730 would run at 201x10 with stock voltage, but not much more. I can't get the new chip to run at any FSB higher than 196. So I can run at 11x196 (2157), or 12x183(2196), but I can't boot at even 10x201(2010). From my other chip I know the board and RAM are fine with it, just not with this chip. Although this kind of problem was common at lower FSB with B1 chips, it seems peculiar with C0 chips. Has anybody else had a problem like this?
i can boot from bios up to around 230fsb with the same chip and board..Quote:

There's also a new bios for the P4C800 Deluxe since 23 september, don't know what the benefits are.

1024.001 beta bios is also out... I will flash it now.Quote:

Can you make a Screen of CPU-Z with the Memorytimings.
You you are nearly 2 sec faster than i. But you are only 74mhz more than me ...

Firstly you are with the P4P800 and 865 and he is with the P4C800 and 875....... ;)Quote:

funny to think i held this ct479 in my hands some weeks ago george :D hehehe
Sorry, this was done on July.....Since then, I have disassemble the comp while testing the cascade......I'll be back soon..... But I have some more on higher frequencies though..... ;)Quote:

EDIT: Try to use the "111" parameter if your rams could handle it and not the "110" on the older Tweaker.....
EDIT 2 : ALSO boot at 200MHz and not at 201MHz..... ;)

I haven't tested the newer one........but I think that you are right.......111 = 11 and 110 = 10.......After all I don't use the Tweaker at all.... :DQuote:

ah ic but the p4c800 doesn have alot of memory timings in the bios at all.
i even flashed to the new bios but there is absolutely nothing different which is dissapointing.

too bad my xms3500 BH5 is dead or my lobby low would be higher.
It looks like the p4c800-e dlx does not give 2.85Vdimm when set to that. All the settings my tcc5 ran on my 875p-t at 2.8Vdimm ( read very hard and fussy on ram) was not stable on my p4c.
Here's a comparison for the P4P800 and the P4C800 mobos......
P4P800-SE
Take a good look at the ram speed here......
http://www.thelab.gr/images/Hipro5/D...aR_694_png.png
P4C800E-Deluxe
.....now take a good look at the ram speed here.......
http://www.thelab.gr/images/Hipro5/D...aR_759_png.png
As you can see here, the ram on P4P is on a LOT higher frequency than the P4C one.......BUT PAT works fine on the P4C......The "phseudo PAT" on P4P isn't doing a good job....... ;)
All test are with everything aggressive
AGAIN P4P800
http://www.thelab.gr/images/Hipro5/D..._41.54_png.png
.......and P4C800.......

P4P800

P4C800
http://www.thelab.gr/images/Hipro5/D..._31.72_png.png
As you can see there is no comparison between those two mobos......P4C800E-D is way ahead of the P4P800-SE.......
.....and max RAM frequency on P4C800E-Deluxe.......cpu-z verified......a bit lower...not 280MHz but 279.8MHz..... :D

can sb tell how should be next two options set for fastest performance
DRAM Idle Timer
DRAM Refreah Rate
I'm not sure but i think it also depends on what memory you use, just try some settings and run some benchmarks to see if you get a beter result.Quote:

does anybody knnows if the dualcore p-ms will use 479 ?
yes, they will, but it might not be the same 479.
can anybody help me, when i mount my phase change on my dothan, I allways get "new cpu installed" and can't get past bios, except default settings. Tried reflashing bios, doesn't help, cleared cmos, doesn't help either.
maybe something is wrong with cpu?
maybe it doesn't like below minus temps.
now i have the same problem on stock cooler to???
Be aware that the adapter might be pushing to the P4 retension socket from beneath.
Make sure that the board is properly mounted and use spacer if not mounted at all :)
BTW P4P can do a good job booting at 200. :)
PAT is fully enabled w/ turbo setting. Unfortunately only 1:1 divider work w/ 533 bootstrap.

Ciao
actually i fixed it, i vaccumed both sockets and it's gone, probobly some of the insulation got caught up between.
can anybody tell me is it save to put DDR booster on a mobo with vdimm mod, what is the thing?
Dothan 730 on air
27 sec on a P4C800E deluxe :)
Has any one used the p4c800 (knot e) bios 1021.005 beta ?
my p4c800 e dlx and dothan 730 and ct-479 are all dead after pushing it to 275x10 with ram at 275 2.5-3-3-5 the pc reset the ct-479 will no longer tell the motherboard what vcore to use. in the p4c800-e it shows 1.7 upto 1.9 and in a p4p800se it shows 1v both have no options in the bios to the vcore.
then the cpu just died i guess the vcore running so high did this.
i picked up a used p4c800 dlx and borrowed a ct-479 and pm 740 from work.
after checking asus for the latest bios i flashed the 1021.005 beta.
everything seamed to be ok but i keep getting random resets. I checked the temps and they looked ok with stock settings of 133x13 on teh cpu.
i put a p4 back in the system and that is stable. Today i tested the ct-479 and cpu at work and that is stable too.
i think it's the bios that causing my problems but i will flash to 1021.003 to see if thats any better.
I'm using a P-M 760 in a P4P800DLX flashed to P4P800SE BIOS 1010.001. No matter how I set the RAM speed in the BIOS, I end up with a 3:4 FSB:RAM divider according to CPU-Z or Clockgen. I've tried pulling the jumpers off the CT-479, and every available RAM setting (266, 333 and auto at lower speeds). The end result is that I can't get a decent FSB because the RAM (Ballistix PC4000) is too overclocked.
For example, I have no problem running Prime 95 at 15x160 (2400), but 12 x 200 or 201 won't boot, because the RAM speed is too high. Do you think that this is a mobo or BIOS problem, or am I just doing something wrong? Suggestions very much appreciated.
I had a similar problem when I pushed my RAM too far. Try running a divider and make sure it's not the RAM.Quote:

yes you can change the multi with 1021.005. i will try again sunday just incase it was somthing else like bad contact with the cooler.
@bnice7 it's not my ram thats the problem it's gskill ddr600 so running at 270 fsb is not even pushing it but it could be the mobo not happy as 270fsb.
1023 is for the p4c800-e i dont have the -e anymore and it wont work on the p4c800 as it has a intel lan and the none e has 3com lan.
