I decided to drop a quick bit of window deicer repair kit paint on pins 30 and 31 to ground(pin 32), along with the d511 to ground. Just a touch with the point of a needle. Just for testing at this point.

At stock 1.2v and 550Mhz the voltage reg temp was 49C with contact temp probe at load. At 1.55v and 695mhz the temp got as high as 63C.
Seem a real easy mod. More worried about the voltage regulator burning up then the chip itself. Hitting 44C with CPU and GPU loaded with mid range water. Wonder how robust the voltage regulation is...
As for the other questions.

It is possible to make it lower, but not to make it higher. I think I can make a working bios for aicjofs that will give 1.45v with your mod installed. 1.45v seems perfect for 24/7
I'm not sure if it will really work as I have no knowledge of how the mod exactly works. What I can do is make a bios that would give 1.1v instead of 1.2v without the mod. I think this mod will also lower the vcore with aicjof's mod, but I'm not 100% sure.
This way you Can use rather xtreme vcore for benching and a lower for 24/7 without the need to take the vmod of
Like the 2D volt setting. Only run 1.55v for games/3D mode. Let me look at the voltage table and think about it, I have some things to do here at work for now.
