how be sure that the mods are correctly done ?
i ve always 1.82 Vcca with the pot set to 3.2 3.3 kohm
looks good, but you might want to tack down the wires going to the pot
yeh, they come off all too easily..Quote:

The picture seems to prove that the burned pins have something to do with VCCA. Be warned :slap: :)Quote:

While I was finding the highest FSB, I also tried multiplier 8 but my system doesn't boot at that multiplier. A MP of 7 works normally. Anyone experienced that ? My chip is a 1.6 Ghz SL86G.
yes, you are corrrect multi 8 on desktop boards does not work, and multi 6x works as 7x or it is vice versa I do not recall... :)
i have modded mine yesterday
my small celeron-m rans now better
C-M380 @ default vcore 2620Mhz ;)
i need my 780ES back to make better scores ;)
i think having a problem :/
first boot with 780 es with 1.86 vcore 1.85 Vcca under cascade, some pi and other bench , and i try maxscreen @ 3845 but crashing
this the crash i have problem , cpu won t boot :o
i decided looking at the cpu and the CT , and i see a little water on the CT479
so i decided to clean the CT and verifie the Vcca
but the vcca start around 1.2 and go up to around 2.5 Vcca in one minute
what can be the problem ? since yesterday ?
edit : i ve seen that the 47/16 wasnt sold
but i cant sod on the point :/
is that ok ?

Wasn't there talk from Hipro5 of even more mods for the adaptor? I'd really like to know what they are before I sell up - one last blast on the old PM front :D
:D
the harder mod for me is in the screen upside
If the VCCA fluctuates, I would first look at the resistor (or the soldering). You could take it off to measure it. If the value is good, solder it back on and see if you get a stable VCCA.
after modding on an other point , the Vcca is stable :)

this burned thing is a bidirectional non-latched translator from Siemens.
Any ideas where to get one? :D
It burend when I was running the Cm at 191 mhz FSB on air :rolleyes:
rebuy a CT :p
This is a very lengthy thread. Would it be possible to consolidate on one post all the mods and a shopping list from someone that has done all the mods?
So, in this pic, the only thing added was the black tantalum cap?

Have a look at page 20
There is a picture with a discription of the mod
http://112233445566.free.fr/Vmods/CT...t479%20003.jpg
GREEN = 100µf/16v
BLUE = 22µf/10v
YELLOW = pot 5k set to 3.3K for Vcca (1.5 stock , and 1.85 with pot set to 3.3k)
RED = 14µf/25V
and here is the 47µf/16v

one of my more recent posts in this thread shows what is added and where on the upper side of the adapter.Quote:
