Uhh...where are the AM2's.....?
I can get my chip to 2.75, 110% vid special, stable.
Any bit higher and it just poops.
X2 3800+ Toledo WR http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=315713
Cooling: Dice "light" (only used a LITTLE bit so I could get the temps down to about 5c). Pretty safe vcore (below 1.8v), so 3.6 will be broken someday. I just don't want to kill this thing with too much voltage. I have owned 150 AMD K8 CPUs, and this is the one I love the most:D Even if it's not the best.
With IHS off it can do 3g/1.29v stable on water.
PS: This exact chip had the WR before Jannn "stole" it:p:
Just thinking that, dam 939s are showing the AM2s up. Maybe I should get my socket 939 3000+ out and test that again since I am better at overclocking now from when I played with that one ;]
Anyway here is my "Amd x2 4000+ AM2" http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=314851
Dropped my Ram to 400mhz anything higher and it can't even hit 2.6Ghz
CPU voltage on 1.555v
Ram Voltage to 2.2v
CPU:
Idle 35*C
Load 40*C (Which is weird IMO)
Motherboard:
Idle: 50*C
Load: 65*C
There is a CPUz memory/main screenshot

I am a novice but I think a 33% overclock is rather good for me : p
(Any tips are greatly appreciated)
Well, this is the end :)

can anyone help me go farther, i wanna shoot for at least 3.5??? but im on air so might be hard? tell me what you think?
http://img.techpowerup.org/080225/result108.jpg
needs more Jiggawatts
how does 1.21 Jiggawatts sound  :yepp:
but seriously whats a safe number to go with and what temp should i try not to go over
i read they can handle 1.55 ok but not to go over 60c
does this sound correct

Ill do CPU-Z validation soon as i get home today.
Athlon 64 3600+ X2 Socket939 @ 2.85Ghz IDLE (load will crash it) 25'c bowth cores.
Cooled by Sunbeam Silent Whisper (crappy cooler).
Youv'e a G1 revision, they tend not to OC very well.
@ Jbunch07; 1.55V on air should be cool if you've good air cooling like me. However if you notice no further improvement no matter the Voltage it's the CPU running on its edge, nothing to do about unless you get some subzero cooling (or maybe watercooling, but from what I read it doesnt give that much of a boost anymore).
I used a OCZ Vendetta first. 1.5V 3.4Ghz was the wall at 57C load, then bought Thermalright Ultra Extreme 120 and now I run 1.475V 3.52Ghz at 50C load.
heres how far ive gotten my 6400+ , although this isnt 24/7 settings i can only run 3.5 24/7

here's mine: http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=327300
4800+ Brisbane @ 3.0Ghz. CPU Voltage is 1.376 (+0.112), chipset is stock. RAM is at 500Mhz. Runs like this 24x7 for rosetta@home and gaming.

x2 3800 lcbie 0619 rpmw @ 3224MHz on air with 1.7v.
stable at 3.0GHz with 1.54v I think (from memory)
i used to run it at just 2.75GHz on default vcore due to poor cooling. I stuck a delta screamer on my artic cooling freezer 64.

DFI 790FX-M2R AMD 6400BE+ @3600 1.45 V
Nice Clocks ... 3.6GHz. ;)
I can only dream of such speeds... I managed to goto 2.9GHz with a X2 3800+ but anything above it becomes unstable.
3.345ghz ~1.55v 5000BE and MSI K9A platinum
http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=350496
AMD X2 4200+ Windsor BH-F2 @ 10*250MHz ~ 1.264V (default voltage) with stock cooling.
24/7 prime stable.:)
Not much, not extreme, but just enough 4 me! (after E8400@4GHz, a bit slower, i know..)
Suicide shot 3510MHz 1.5 Vcore on my 5200+ windsord. Stable in one core 50% load; at 100% system crashed
http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=341731
For 24/7 3360MHz works perfect at 1.36Vcore DDR 1126
BH-G2, 1.35V, ASUS Silent Knight II (max 44˘C)
http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=351837
Can OC to:
11.5 x 255Mhz
11 x 266Mhz
10 x 290Mhz
Further testing on higher V soon. :)
5000+ BE lazy OC only...

Crank it up! :D
My subzero X2
I had almost forgotten how fun it is to overclock AMD cpu's.
Brisbane'G2' @3236mhz --> 431*7.5
http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc.php?id=366645
Not bad for ol' skool mobo. :D
This is my first OC ever with my brand new PC
(it is also the first time i have run an AMD)
you think that ok for my first try? I don't want to push the voltage any higher so this is it. i am on water too.

First take on this 4850e: 250x12 at 1.31v. I might be able to do a lower voltage, but my Gigabyte 790x DS4 has voltage increments of .025, and it slightly overvolts the cpu. 1.275v gives it 1.285v according to CPUZ, and that is not stable. Setting it to 1.3v in the bios gives it 1.312 according to CPUz, and it seems stable. I have had no BSODs, but I have not run Orthos yet.
