you can start a new thread for it... but this is an inappropriate thread for it-
charlie
And the ClawHammer thing? A bug in the version of CPUz you are using? My apologies dude.Quote:

So run some benches man!:)
The lock drops the HTT transfer rate to X4. This must be some attempt to work with the stability issues they are having with the locks.Quote:

Disable your agp/pci locks and and set to 1000HT check sisoft sandra to see if you have the reported 2x1000(2000 double data rate) that you should have. Then reset your locks without change'n ldt and see if you still have the reported 2x1000HT. Mine drops to 2x800 with the locks enabled.
yes you re right , i dont saw that !! yes , its probably a bug :)Quote:

YES IT'S OFFICIAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THE A8V with the BETA BIOS'es are incompatible with PC2700 sticks (even if they're BH-5 - KHX3000)!!!!
I tested one single stick of GEIL PC3700 that I had lying around and sure enough.... 2:1 (DDR400) works FINE :D
Where are you Bigtoe??? Wanna' pass that on to the BIOS jockeys at ASUS??
Guess it's time to go shopping BH5 again........ :( Or maybe OCZ "EB"
C
I know the K8V had that problem. Whatever the SPD is (JDEC), that's what it defaults to. I never had any experience with it because I only used DIMMS that were programmed PC3200 or better.Quote:

Hopefully something that a BIOS revision can cure! Whatcha' think Bigtoe??
C
Well let's see what we've got, then...
Single Channel PiFast stable @ 237mHz, 1:1 2-3-3-7, with the GEIL PC3700. Pretty decent for 2.8V. Yeah, I know the PiFast score is terrible, but it's stable enough to show that 237 1:1 with only 2.9V is pretty good. With 2 x PC3200, at 3.4V it'd probably do 260 !
C
unsolder the SPD chip maybe? use a cheapie stick and give it a try :DQuote:

charlie gave me a connectivity between the Vcore Vreg (SC2643) and the solder point they used for the mod. There is indeed a connection between the FB pin of the Vreg and the resistor they lifted.
Start with a 100-200 ohm VR set to 20ohms and increase the resistance for more Vcore.
And a little Sledgehammer sweeeetness.
AIR COOLED, 1.65V... 9.5 x 287 = 2726.2 @ 5:3, DDR455
on AIR, hehehehehe.........
Thanks Hell-Fire, really appreciate you :toast:Quote:

Charlie, looks like you've got a real live one on your hands
Nice. :toast: Can you run Pifast or SuperPI without errors at that speed?Quote:

I'll try a little later... it was 26C ambient....and it'd error out like halfway through a 1m Spi run.... unfortunately this time of year, even 2AM is still 18C.....Quote:

3.1 on "C02 air" with only ~1.825v????
ignore the poor score, it's cuz the mem speed sucks....
thats just sick:worship:
