It looks like the card is real and it exist I think we can be pretty certain and is not a wood screw debacle.

GTX 460 is not a full card (some CCs were disabled) so at some time we'll get a more powerful variant. Don't know what its name will be, though.

Do you remember, when some of us started talking about possible renaming in the future of AMD cards, based on their own slides? And the reaction, that we should not be talking about it, until it's actually proven?

Yeah they are almost as annoying as nvidia boys campaingning day after day to discredit AMDs drivers and make Nvidias seem problem free and perfect like all that Nvidia does.

and amd did shrink the damn die by 35% while adding new hardware feature and having the same performance as last gen stuff of the same nomenclature ... and lower price too.... so what's your point????

My guess is that gf100 will EOL soon after GTX 580 comes to market, i.e. not just on paper. And of course Nvidia will make a GTX 570 from the scraps that don't hit the 580 requirements. Also a full GF104 with upped clocks is possible. That would give a full line up against Cayman GPUs.

Seriously, dude. Both you and sam_oslo tire me (and I guess it's not just me). Most everyone is reasonable here, with slight tendencies to support one of the two companies; but with you, it's just 100% AMD bias with.every.single.post. It's almost as if I already know what the post will be talking about the moment I see your nickname.

Information theory states that if a certain event's outcome is known with certainty before you know its results, than that event is essentially worthless in terms of providing information. Like, if an unfair coin always gives you Tails, then the fact that it gives you Tails on a particular toss is worthless information. Please don't be like that.

dont care what color it is, a dumb idea is a dumb idea.

for them to meet my standards for a refresh, it better have some kind of extra tessellation perf, and reworked for much higher clocks (think 4890), and much lower power consumption.
