Not sure if you posted them Hornet, but can you share a complete list of your bios settings at your current clocks?

Im only trying to find my lowest possible cpu, so ram multi is at 6x.
When i put it to 8x it might need a higher voltage again. :yepp:
Anyway here are the Bios settings:
Turbo: off
EISTE: off
C4/5/6: off
LLC:on
CPU multi: 20
QPI: 36
Uncore: 17
Mem: 6
CPU voltage: 1.2275 (in windows its 1.2V idle and under load 1.184)
QPI/VTT voltage: 1.355
CPU PPL: 1.86
Mem Voltage: 1.66 (just to be save ;) )
Bclck: 180
SPD: manual (but then everything on auto)
IOH/ICH voltages: all auto/stock
Im planing to install a 6gb ramdisk, when i have found my 24/7 settings amd played a bit with it. ;)
edit: just got a BSOD after 35min of prime.
Well you cant have everything. ;)
i try to reach 2-3h prime stable and then run some linx. I think i will settle somewhere around 1.22-1.25V
I don't get it. I have 12 gigabytes of ram but I am getting all sorts of problems.
I am running 1600mhz cl8 ram and getting a ridiculous number of errors in memtest. I thought I solved the problem but It keeps coming back. Did you the XMP profile in the ram?
Can someone explain CPU PLL, and QPI PLL, i seen PLL in x48 bios also but never had to change it. I also remember it being alot lower, around 1.5v, back then.
System just crashed fter 7hr 45 mins of prime, how infuriating!
god how i love new tech...
got a new problem, the cpu is stable at 180 mhz qpi with 1.192V but it can't boot with more then 150mhz when 12gb are in the system (it works with 6gb).
It seems the bios :banana::banana::banana:s up the ram timings for 12gb, cause it aborts the boot at the post hex 6Bh (Programing the Chipset registers).
Im gona try to give the rams Manual timings and see if it works...
I'd rather learn from others than learn from frying my 940 that cost more than a week's pay ;) I'm always open to criticisms, I am here to learn, and hopefully pass on some of that knowledge to the next guy.
F4L locks my multi in @ 22, I cannot go any lower. So right now I am priming at 22x180 with HT and turbo off. Unfortunately I am running 1.45 Vcore. System won't post under 1.400 and cannot get into windows under 1.425. Was getting BSODS under 1.45 within 10 seconds of linx.
Oddly enough, my temps are way lower than earlier with 22x175 with the lower voltage, though I think having HT & turbo off is contributing to this. My load temps right now are at about 70C.
Gotta run, my woman and I are on our way out to a swinger's club for an evening of enjoyment :pimp:
who's on bios f4l ? is it any good im still on f4k, almost 13 hours into prime still going @4.137ghz 197 x 19 turbo on ht on
worth going to f4l ?
Some early results on stock air

Love that bandwidth and latency!!

And on another note, can confirm that mounting a fan on a TRUE Black 120 on the ram side of this board is a no go with my corsairs. Had to mount the fan toward the rear. It is a 120x120x38mm fan in the photo, but a 19mm fan also will not fit. Can also say that the plastic fan door on my Stacker 830 case no longer closes due to the height of the TRUE. I'm gonna have to cut a bit of plastic out to get the door to shut all the way.

8 Hours done small FFTs. All the settings at Auto except vcore at 1.2v in bios (1.12v under load)

That's quite hot for 1,12v
