You didn't clear cmos after installing new ram? It tried to boot with old timings I assume?
Yep, did clear Bios.. Booted fine at 200-205, But did this at 210...Quote:

I thought the shuttle has a backup somewhere, but that might be my DFI Infinity that has that..

Try asking Shuttle where to buy one or to send you one. Excaliberpc has them, but as far as I know they only carry Abit.
You could try to match yours with a blank one at Radio Shack and then hot flash it if you have a friend with that mobo?

Fixing this is quite simple actually.. as long as you have another mobo up and running. You just install the shuttle bios-chip in the other system while its up in windows or dos (depening on which flashprogram you are using). Then you force the shuttle-bios in to the chip. Remember to download the correct bios first :)Quote:

If you are using an Abit MOBO and flashmenu to do it, you must check out the "Ignore BIOS partnumber check" which is located under "Advanced setting", or else the flashmenu will stop cause the bios differs with the MOBO. When using the DOS based flash app. you need to use the -f parameter IIRC.
Prolly a real bad explanation, but i just woke up and im REALLY tired. Just let me know if you diddn´t understand :)

It's the same as Hotflashing it which I have done many times with no problems...except you force it to flash to a different brand mobo.

since I Got my Gigabyte K8N pro sitting here, Should work like a Charm... THANKS..
OOPS.. I guess I will try with the DFI.. The Gigabyte has the Chips soldered to the board :(
Think i got a bad core here: CAAOC 0350 XPMW.
I'm running it on a Shuttle AN50R @ Prommie R507. If temp gous lower than -43 @ evapor the system locks up. Max speed that i got was 2600 @ 1.72v :confused: Ram running @ 5:4.
Anyone that knows the lockup bug @ subzero temps ? + a Fix for it ?

Got my 3400+ yesterday, and i'm well chuffed with it!
So far almost got 2,5 gig @ 1.7Vcore stock cooler w/ an awfull lot of shin etsu that came as stock.
Tonight i'm gonna put a better fan on it, a 70mm that came from a volcano 7+, so i'm sure 2,5 GHz will be done easily. :)
I'm running this CPU in a Shuttle AN50R.
Running Cas2 doesn't allow anything higher than 217x11, running cas 2,5 does 226x11 stable. (3d mark, superpi and pifast)

It's doing 2440 @ 1.7v on water while using the Gigabyte GA-K8NNXP
I haven't modded my mobo yet, so I'm hoping for better results in a few days :)
@ EmineM: This is a CAAAC on water, a 0345 RPMW to be precise ;)
today we got 2560MHz (10x256mhz) on a epox 8hda3+
the 3200+ is vapochilled and stable :)
he make a superpi time from 34secs in 1M
