I got badly backlogged, and was working absoultely nutty hours to try to get these sinks into the hands of all of those who wanted them including you.
The day that I found out that the new sinks were a go, I said that it would be about 1-1.5 weeks before they were complete. You contacted me 9 days later saying that you couldn't wait any longer, even though they were exactly on time as I had promised. I offered to spend $40 on Global express mail out of my own pocket to make up for the delays.
I just got them in my hands back from the plating shop thursday evening. It would have been a day sooner if the platers had held them for pickup like we had instructed, but they decided to ship them anyways.
We managed to get two shipments out to Petra's and sidewinder via UPS on thursday, and I didn't make it with yours since it was going to a different shipper. I worked a 10 hour day on Friday and couldn't make it to the Post office. When I went to pack and ship them on Saturday, I realized that I was short on nylon washers so would have to wait until Monday so that I could get more washers from my machinist. Unfortunately I didn't realize that Monday was a federal holiday, and the Post office was closed.
In all honesty I meant to drop them off today, but I spent the whole day on a 20ft ladder running electrical conduit, almost was shocked to death because some jackass turned on a breaker that I had tagged out, and as an added bonus received a nasty burn on my right index finger. I just got off work and didn't have enough time to race traffic back to drop off your package. :(
For the record, I am making absolutely nothing on these Rev. 2 sinks. My machinist is barely turning a $2 profit per set when he counts in overhead. I just gave the job to him as a favor to him, and to get the huge weight off of my back.
I've gone well over $100 out of pocket and spent at least 10-12 hours of my personal time to make these Rev. 2 sinks available in quantity as a favor to the community. My machinist only made enough on them to cover his standard rate and pay the light bill, so he isn't exactly getting rich either. If anyone is curious I'd be happy to list the expenses.
Tom, as you've heard several times before, I'm very sorry for the delay. I've tried to be as fair as I can to as many people as I can. It just has been a monumental task to handle with my day job taking up most of my time, and frankly I am *thrilled* that it is finally over. :)
