Waiting very impatiently for updates. This project is what inspired me to try out some chilled water myself.
so once ur famous u might want to have a new name...something that makes u sound smart and cool. not that sweeper sounds lame. But its no Superman. Then get ripped and tan... so then all those computer loving chicks will dig ya... even if you do have a wife... u just tell her it all for publicity and all the photoshoots... only exteme systems will know why you really did it. ;) :D im only joking Sweeper. But make sure i get a copy of ur picture and signature in the mail once u get ur first 1,000,000 dollar check from wired magazine or from how ever many companies decide to support and publicize your project.
damn i drove everyone away with that comment. Well hows the whole "getting off of being away all the time" thing going?
Well guys, I'm finally home and now its time to start back on completing this project. I didn't realize that I've been working out of town for the past 10 months.....I've really lost a lot of time on this build. Well, I have a lot of work ahead of me and I will be working the weekend to finishing some of the changes I started. I also have a few evaporators to make for some guys.
So, I'm glad you guys were patient and continued to post your comments to help encourage me to finish this build. I'm really looking forward to finishing this project. :D
how comes you lost so much time in the project? I think lost is not the precise word.. :)
Hurry up!!!! lol
WOW!
Everything looks amazing, great job.
Simply wow...With nehalem you have a whole new level of cooling need to apply to your creation.
Glad you are back on the project. I am anxious to see how it will work.
How many CPU's could your system comfortably chill ???
I was recently reading about the Cray CX1 supercomputer which can support up to 16 Intel quad-core Xeon processors, 256 GB RAM,
1600 watt PSU and runs Windows or Linux (specs) .
It's wierd how most of the supercomputers of the world today are using off the shelf PC parts (Intel or AMD).
In the old days supercomputers had all the exotic stuff but now everybody is pretty much using the same thing (supercomputers simply use many more).
I guess it's equality at its best.
It's all good
:):devil::D
Pascal
If I finally get this thing completed:confused:....it will be cooling only one CPU and high end gaming components. This system will not be used for 24/7 use, probably couldn't afford the power bill. I'm waiting on a few parts and I will have the SS completed. I will be posting pics soon.
Later
shweet. So after this whole project is a success, and you decide that you wont be using it anymore, i hope you will remember the one guy who called first dibs on that beast.
I jsut can't believe I haven't seen this thread before!
Dude, you got some amazing work there!
Even I would try to waterchill my system after reading all the 21 pages so far... and it was just no enough.... I could read 100+ more pages of this project!! lol!
Amazing.. simply put.
Keep up the good work!
^^ Agreed, this is the best, most interesting, most addictive thread on XS, and possibly the whole internet!
I've never seen anything quite so awesome as this project. I just got into water cooling, you're not helping my addiction one bit with this my friend lol. KEEP IT UP!
It's a goliath time frame too! Holy shyte!
perfection takes time. I will lurk
Wow 21 pages of nothing but cooling/case buliding.
Even without the PC in there yet it looks great!
I enjoy examining your method of hydrocooling. I was thinking about taking on a project similar to your Goliath but I have no time in the world to do it. I may take a spare refrigerator/freezer apart and put something together more quick and simple. It would certainly be nice to have time like this. Thanks for your pictures.
