Actually, I'm beginning to think the P5N32-PLUS isn't for me. First, it expensive, and second, it has problems. I really don't need the SLi, or the heatpipes, so I think I should go with the new DFI P965-S. Is there any reason I should stay with the board?

Don't worry...I haven't bought it yet, waiting till the summer. I just feel a bit safer pairing Intel stuff, with Intel stuff, like their chipsets. If anyone can give me a solid reason why I should take this board over DFI's, then by all means share it. Even with the DFI board, i have two PCI-e X16 slots, so that isn't really a limiting factor.

True but you're going against your own word.
DFI 680i is nvidia chipset board, not an intel chipset board.
if you want an intel chipset board to pair with an intel cpu and want dfi, you have the 975x infinity and 965-s dark
those are your choices until they release their 680i hopefully sometime within the next month or so.
the DFI 680i LT looks good ... but the best nforce kentsfield oc board is still EVGA's 680i and LT boards .. both can do 400+fsb .. however since it does kill RAM , i aint gonna try that
if the board kills the ram, then it should be warrantied by the ram maker...now, i wouldn't tell them it was the board that killed the ram...i would just say the ram is dead...don't know why!;)
Has anyone had an overclock fail after 1 month? My system was 24hrs orthos stable at 3.4ghz @ 1.45v (set in bios, reads 1.41v in PC Probe) a month ago and now I can't even get it to pass 3 hrs of orthos. I was messing with the ram timings a week ago, got that stable in memtest86, window's memtest and superpi. So I decided to run orthos just to make sure everything works and now orthos is unstable. Tells me I have a .4 expecting .5 error.
Temps are good, usually under 60 C in core temp. OCCT passes, memtest86, windows memtest and superpi passes but orthos always fails at ~3hrs. Any help would be appreciated.
he Im having some difficulty measuring actual vdimm and Vcore...I used the points from post #466 to guide me...the vdimm point gives me 1.6??? and I cant even seem to find the Vcore point, can someone help? Also how accurate is asus probe with actual volts

My vdimm is set to 2.3 bios but actual measured is around 2.15 to 2.17.
The vcore point works fine and is only about 0.01-.02 lower than what i set in bios after vdroop mod.

Well the stability test is running for now. Note CPU batch 24A so do not expect miracles in the speed. First screenshot 5 hours so far. This board is amazing but it came faulty from the shop so I will RMA it. The faulty is 2 ram slots are not working. I can get 3.7 stable but orthos can not run due to the high temperature, sometimes the CPU get around 77 degrees full load at 3.4.
I know you need to take these reviews with a grain of salt, but Anand gives this board a big thumbs-up after a 6-week intensive testing period:

Also interesting look at memory compatibility. I have G.Skill 2GBHK and they seem to have got the board playing very nicely with these sticks - as well as about 6 other sets tested.
