why do you have your drive standing on its side like that? i mean... what about the platters and wear on the bearings (or whatever they are called)? also that way it seems to be easier to kill.. accidentially tip it over while accessing the platters.. scrreeech. - just a thought.

IS that glass box there for the chilled air to go into the prommy condensor?
It looks like it goes into the prommy, and into the case as well.
I think it's just a construction so the fans will still have enough air, but you won't hear them as loud as you normally would :)
Looks to me like he's pumping colder outside air in thru a window and into the front of his case via the hose, box and fans as kommando suggested. ;)
It is deffinately either from a cooling vent or outside...why run that duct to nowhere when you could get nice cold air flowing through your case. That plexiglass wouldn't realy do much to help the noise.
