Well, that's definitely not a reading problem - while in x1 mode, 3D performance drops by 50%. I've seen several people to have had confirmed problems with P965 and x1 PCI-E problems. It happens with different P965 mobos and different graphic cards. Hell knows why this happens. It might be a P965 bug.Quote:

Anyone having problems getting the Audio to work ok?
Specifically my front audio ports are messed up. The Mic doenst work at all and the sound only works if i unplug the speakers from the back. I am using an Antec P150 with the audio connector on the F-Audio plug on the DS3. I am not sure I like this Realtek HD-Audio driver. Giving me much problems and people say I sound really junky when talking using Teamspeak.

OK, HERE'S A CHALLENGE FOR SOMEONE SMART.....
Can you do a hex edit comparison of the BIOS for the 1.8v and for 2.1v settings, then in the future we can make the change manually and post the edited version for download. So when you flash it will have the 2.1v set already?
Though I'm not sure if it will work, b/c it might only be the value set, not changing the default mode for when you flash & I believe the CMOS is cleared automatically?
Maybe we just need to use a switch with the program to keep it from clearing the values?
If not Gigabyte might need to release a version for people with 2.0v+ ram so their board doesn't "die" after a flash. And require some random cheap ram to be put in to change the voltage setting.

I won't be buying an Asus or gigabyte card to run with their mobos. My galaxy 7900GT should run fine with both. If it doesn't, then it means, that there is somethng wrong with the mobos. All 7900GT cards are virtually the same, so I see no reason why my geforce should not work well with all motherboards. I might try to use a gigabyte 7900GT bios with my galaxy card if it means no further problems with switching to x1 link mode, yet I will wait for a reply from gigabyte to see if they can solve the problem. I've never experienced such a weird problem and as far as I can see I'm not alone. It's their job to provide all users with hardware working fine.:fact: Perhaps a bios upgrade is enough. When I set vdimm>2.1V, vdimm under PC Health says FAIL.
Can anyone confirm if they get this as well. 'cause when I set vdimm>2.1V my memory is unstable (sticks are rated @ 2.2V).
