Yes, Memory Controller HubQuote:

The southbridge heatsink is very hot to the touch, whereas the NB heatsink is pretty much cold... not sure whether I've just got a bad contact on the NB or not.
I've taken the cover off the southbridge but haven't yet mounted a fan to it. Can I get a 10mm fan on and still be able to use Crossfire? Will a 10mm fan even make much difference?
It is getting the SB temperatures...Quote:

Why oh Why are people Enabling Virtualization Technology When it only gives gains if you are running VM sessions, Like running a VMWARE server or Micorosoft Virtual Machine software. I dont get it. I see so many people on here with it enabled, but it doesnt help anyone.
Default is ENABLED... So why disable? :p:Quote:

This is my EXACT experience as well. Week 23 on air. 24/7 Orthos stable @ 1.45V, anything over that requires WAY too much voltage and produces WAY too much heat.Quote:

Then again, on AIR (Zalman CNPS7000Cu if I'm correct) I could run 378*9 without much problems... Hyperpath 3 disabled?
Well 2.4ghz to 3.2ghz on AIR isn't THAT bad for an OC :p
ofcourse ES samples got us to much hyped :(
Yeah, I just need to be happy with an 800MHz OC.
This thing is so much faster than my A64 box was in every way...so...
Somethin' about seeing 3.6GHz on the BIOS screen though just sparks up an inner greed in me like nothin' else, hehe. :)
Almost greedy enough to go get an E6700...and that's just silly. How much would I notice 400MHz in what I do? I probably wouldn't.
Although I defintely do notice when I go back to 2.4GHz from 3.2GHz.
Yup...tried everything. I do think my RAM sucks though. That's what I get for cheapin' out for $149 shipped - still haven't seen my OCZ $50 rebate. Prolly won't ever see it.Quote:

In a real life not that much :D
Weird.. I just came home from dinner. Pc wouldnt turn on. Took out power supply cable, plugged it back in. Pc booted fine. All bios settings back to stock. Set 3.2 overclock and noticed that the DRAM ECC mode option has completely disappeared from the bios..
I'm beginning to suspect that my RAM is bad. I bought the Corsair CM2X1024-6400C3 RAM, which is more than twice the price of the C5.
The thing is that I can't get it above 899MHz no matter how high I set the Memory Voltage. I've tried just about everything, but the bastard won't run the #5 Test on Memtest, it freezes directly.
Am I overlooking something major? I tried running it with my E6600 OC'd to 3,2 GHz and also with the default settings at 2,4 GHz (but with the voltage turned up on the RAM).
Anyone got a clue as to what in the world is going on?

EDIT: added the link to Anandtech's test of the RAM, where they got it to 1067 with good timings.
I'd like too :)Quote:

Gotta try 1301 maybe and see
Actually Vdroop is 0.05 ( bios 1101 )
