Ok... ZALMAN TEST RESULTS.
P5N-32-E-SLI-PLUS with Q6600 (Stock Speeds for Test)
Single 8800GT (NO OC for Test)
Ambient Air Temp 20 Deg.
The test consisted of 5 Back To Back Runs of Futuremark 06.
Stock Cooler Stock Fan Speed (out the box as it were)
No Load after 10 Min
50 Deg C
Futuremark Passes max temp
1. 74
2. 77
3. 80
4. 82
5. 82 (If I did more tests, I believe it would keep heatsoaking higher)
VF-1000 60% Fan Speed (Set from Bios)
No Load after 10 Min
43 Deg C
Futuremark Passes max temp
1. 50
2. 52
3. 52
4. 52
5. 52 (No Crap There...)
That is a "Delta" of 30 Degrees LOWER... Unreal!
Remember, this is only 60% Fan Speed. It is dead silent and performing Very Very Well.
I did not test the stock cooler at higher speeds because it becomes REDICULOUSLY LOUD.
I have had this product twice now, Once on my GTS and now on the GT. I am completely impressed with the performance and looks of this.
Please spend the money, it's a No Brainer Upgrade. Don't even think about it, just buy it.

I've since moved the fan to the right of the heatsink:p:
http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i3.../Picture-2.jpg
Brian MP5T & Simps, are you guys using any heatsinks for the PWM area?
it's a two phase analogue PWM, where you can see 2X 3 sets of the MOSTFETS together, thats them, without any heatsink I tested with my IR sensor around 90-110 degrees, and immediately took the cards out to stick a heatsink on them.
Very nice mad_skills
I have an P5N-32-SLI-PLUS.
It had heatpipes that went from the NB and SB to Banks of Fins that were on the Mosfets by the CPU.
When I removed the Heatpipes, I left the Bank of fins where they were..

Nice Brian, I see you've gone from your thermaltake CPU heatsink and used the cnps9700, good on ya ;)
Here's some pics of my recently lapped Tuniq and E6750. My first time doing it. Went 320 -> 600 -> 1500 grit. I was completely surprised that I didn't fry my CPU. That said, if I didn't fry mine, no one will.

http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f2...ld/Lapped1.jpg
Try and find 2000 and 2500 grit.
It makes mirror finish without need to polish the base. And will make your Tuniq even better for sure.
I used 320/600/1000/1500/2000/2500 profiles on my old HyperTX and look what mirror you get:

My new Asus P5E Mobo should be arriving tommorow :)
I will post pics of it and my build asap!
:)
Gosh it's quiet
=o
RIGHT HERE WE GO
Upon waiting for my P5B Deluxe to be returned from Asus... I knew I was going to wait a while, meanwhile I couldn't stand it after a few weeks of having crysis but couldn't play it, so I went ahead and spent some money on a new X38 mobo :)... My Asus P5E had arrived.
Here are some pics of the mobo and my build when it was finally finished:

Oh yes, and there was a problem when I was fitting my CNPS9700, from what I gather it was a support clip that is used when putting the cooler on a AMD mobo. I ended up having to file it down so it could squeeze in with all them heatsinks :D

Green UV Springs for watercooling hose, but I used them on some of my cables :)
As for the moment i've only got my E6600 @ 3.06GHz, 1363fsb, 23'c idle.
But tommorow, after i've fixed a few audio issues, i'm going to reach alot higher.
Sorry if there was to many images.
Next on my list is a 8800GT or a GTS Rev.2 to replace my sketchy ATI Radeon X1800 XT
Please comment :D
thats the first time i've seen a black IO panel - & it is HOT!
Which fan controller is that? I'm looking for a decent one, yours looks the job.

Havent seen any moisture build up (even with rain) and its been this way
for a while now.
Ambient room temps are 22c.

Not that pretty, but airflow wise, its not too shabby
What PSU is that?
Hiper 530 watt type R.
I suppose its reliable but i realy dont like the modular design, they are too big and bulky (the connectors), i prefere other designs like the corsair HX series
It came in a toolbox though, which was handy :)
Got my 3870 :yepp:
http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s...1/DSCF2659.jpg
yes taylor its the one n only GOOCHGRAB nice rig il get sum pics of mine up n show ya
Nice Psu, I love these connectors
http://www.vtr-hardware.com/media/im...ews/1/7159.jpg
Yeh the connectors look nice, but they are a pain when put inside my case trying to get the best looking cable management.
That mirror finish looks great dont it :)
...
nice and clean, well done
But the color of the mobo is horrible XD
...
Your eyes are :banana::banana::banana:, my motherboard is red
Here is my new server...

I'll put some more when it's done.
It's going to be totally Red and Black..
Getting Phenom ready!!!!!
Going to build a phenom home server. Will go 4GB and a phenom B3 stepping cpu.
Sold off my FX60, got a 4800X2 brisbane (stand-by cpu until phenom B3 are out), 2.5Ghz, 65nm, 65Watter with a MSI K9A2 platinum. Cooled by a old sckool thermalright SI97A! :D

ragnarok95, you've rather colourful rig =).
^^ MSI and GIGABYTE both make crazy MOBOs
ragnarok95, should the ballistix memory be in the same lane?
On other note, is this because of MSI mobos posistion their DIMM slots abit differently than they do on some other mobos, e.g. the way you've posistioned your memory for dual channel?
ragnarok i noticed your not running dual channel correctly. Is that intentional?
Ram layout for AMD and intel for MSI are diff.
Yes, mine are running at dual channel ;)
Dun worry guys, its confirm in Dual Channel mode.
Both CPU-Z and AMD Overdrive confirm its in dual channel.
So as the mobo instruction book! :D
It's winter and my house was cold until I turned this server on..
After an hour, the room was nice and comfortable..
 I need 4Tb because I have 4Tb of data..
It's awesome for Lan Parties.. It's attached to a Dual Giga-Lan. People surf and take what they want and sometimes add some stuff I don't have..
waiting for TR to send me my gpu heatsink.
http://Ar3s.fileave.com/IMG_0181.JPG
i have the same mobo, what kinda of temps are u getting on the northbridge?
i get anywhers from 32C to 37C ( i re-pasted them with artic silver 5)
i experimented with a fan blowing on the bottom heatsink(northbridge) and it definitly helps keep it at a constent 32C
though i want to upgrade to a thermalright NB cooler. but i would have to modify the heatpipe cooler.
i notice the heat sink by the cpu socket (im assume there are the power regualtors thingys) the heatsink doesnt touch half of them. im kinda concerned about this, but it has been pretty stable. so i dunno
