Thanks, not all of them are L3014's, quite a few X5260's and the real killer should be here today, the X5270.
This is Brian's old chip :), pcie clock was 110 or 115 iirc.

I see! Don't expect too much from the X5270, if they're anything like the E8700 they'll probably disappoint, the slightly higher multi over the E8600/X5260 doesn't matter.
So you're running Brian's old setup, nice! :)
115 MHz PCIe clock should be plenty, how much do you gain in Windows over boot clock?
So pessimistic Dan :D
I just figured it would take the board out of the equation for high FSB, but I guess we will see whenever I get a chance to test one, good thing two just showed up :)

Also if anyone on the team needs any 771 chips. . .

Here is a Wolfdale with an unlocked multi. I want to try out. http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Pentiu...71E6500K).html
Never heard of it before, only found it by mistake looking for something cheap.
Hey l0ud_sil3nc3 that is a lovely pic and a great gesture, thanks. I would hoard them all hahaha!
Just realistic! :p:
Anyway, I hope they'll be good clockers!
The E6500K is an interesting chip, but they were realeased "too late" and today they're quite rare. I couldn't find one in Germany, only in Hong Kong, and for the price of one E6500K I could get a lot of other chips...
If you can find one for cheap, go for it! :yepp:
A pic of my benching area. See my new toys? hahaha Yes its my GIGABYTE GV-N78TOC-3GD which has a custom pcb with 2x8 power connections. Super quiet in my case but soon will be on my bench screaming!

The ssd is for my daily and the a.s. thermal adhesive is for a project I have in mind. I have a bunch of old heatsinks that I want to cut up and make some heatsinks for my benching parts.
Nice new toys, Andy!

Next stop: #1 in the United States Enthusiast League! ;)
GO GO GO Ace123! Hey that is a nice HD7870 you was benching with, blows mine away on clocks even though its the highest I have ever oc a gpu.
I need a couple of 780tis and i could probably take #1 enthusiast in usa.
You don't need more global points, you need more hardware points. ;)
