I did the mod too, and my PWM gets as high as 55c 370x9, should I put a fan on the PWM HS or is 55c fine?

I did the vdroop mod on my IP35 Pro and it made a very large difference on my vdroop. Since I had it out of the case and all I did all measurements with a higher end DMM. My vdroop stayed within .003 of where it started up at. The bios reports these changes as being .01v, but I'll trust my DMM over the bios.
It isn't too bad to do and you can get the parts you need from radio shack for about $5 if you already have a soldering pen. Be warned though, these are small points to solder..
Thanks for the feedback Ace-a-Rue,
Can you tell me how hot is too hot for the PWM?
I am now running @ the following settings:
400x9 | vcore 1.4350v | DDR2 1.9v | MCH 1.27v | ICH 1.29v | ICHIO 1.55v | DDR2 Ref 0% | GTL Ref 70%
and my PWM is up to 70c after 10mins of prime95 small fft's testing.
I probably won't stick with this OC, but I would like to know, What is the Max Temp for the PWM before it becomes dangerous?
I think the max the PWM can take is 110 celcius
Here are the thermalright coolers i was on about...

Hmmmm there should be 3 pictures on that post?? why is it only showing 2...
there's 3...two pictures are side by side.
Doh!!! Thanks for the help aswell ace .
Those look like they do a great job but in all honesty I dont think you need those coolers there. You need to put something like that on your PWM area. Ill be upgrading my watercooling radiator and CPU block soon to help cool my Q6600 when I get a replacement board.
Thermalright dont do a cooler for the pro pwm yet but they are on my list for when they do. The reason i got the coolers is for the option to mount a 80mm fan on the NB. Both the coolers are the sli version .

The only thing is should i mount the fan blowing air on to the g-card or have it sucking air through it???
Pull air thropugh it.
You could put a 40mm fan blowing air through the heatsink and out the back of the case to help a little but 70 celcius shouldnt bee too bad. That is once its not 70 celcius on Idle.
what are they at idle? I have done the bolt mod and have a 40mm fan on it and it seem`s to be between 35 - 42 depending on what the room temp is ie " if the girlfriend with the heating on full wack or not" and if you overclock it causes them to heat up aswell.
What does long constant beeeeeeps mean? I booted it up the first time and theres no post, no pictures but the mobo is screaming like crazy. Its stuck at C1. I wonder if its a dead cpu.
Thats a memory problem, try one stick.
One way to find out, take off your nb block and check out the damage :(
"crackling sounds while mounting the NB waterblock" is not a good sign. C1 is "Detect Memory Error" but if NB is shot then all bets are off. Hope thats not it. Did you clear cmos?
