Does your 920D contacts 100% with the Storm ?
I has this because it seens that the 9xx don't have a flat IHS !
When I apply some thermal paste in the CPU center and put the STORM, the thermal paste spreads good on the whole IHS and on the block stays a nice layer too, so I think that the contact is very good. The temp at that speed running 4x SP2004 is 60c, and the ambient is 28.
damn i hate my mobo cos its holding cpu oc back:(

anyways cpu can do 4200mhz with 1.325v and it is prime stable:)
wonder what that cpu could do with something colder and better mobo
dos your mobo stop at 300FSB?
no but it wont do tests over 4600mhzQuote:

@winterwind: isn't prority 10 (SP2004) + large ftt better for testing the cpu stability?
btw: my 920 does up to 4.6ghz@1.49v aircooled.
raiden
Mine 920D has a bad core. The 2nd core is f*****ing my OC baddly.
To get 4.2 I must put at least 1,485v !
When testing the cores separatly the fisrt one is good. The second one needs more "juice" ! :(

Task Manager / Process / Set Afinity ;)
But it can also be done (set afinity) in Prime95.
Hey, sorry for the late reply vanovich.Quote:

Iluvintel, those are some really nice clocks on that 641 on air.
Nice clocks indeed ! My 641 does 4800 Mhz only :hm: throttlefree with dual Prime95 for two hours. And that's on water...
Are there any applications (besides ThrottleWatch) to monitor if the CPU goes in TM1/TM2 mode?
Also, does anyone know if the multiplier of Cedar Mills is adjustable ? It would be great to raise my FSB more and run memory 1:1 with lower timings...
the multi is not changeable.. Mine does 5Ghz on air but not stable.. 4800 is stable at 1,3 volt on air
Thanks, epox4life. But my days with Cedar Mill have come to a close. Are now playing with 930 Malay packaged processor till' conroe becomes retail down here in OZ. :)Quote:

Cool heatsink there PC! Do it handle the heat good? Put a delta on it hehe.
PcC12iminal, you have Vcore mod on Asus P5WD2-E to get those clocks and Vcore for those 940 benchies ? :)
U get the allways the best... :)
My 940 tops @ 4.53ghz with 1.475v even with watercooling...
Don't you guys have the "IHS not beeing flat" problem ?
Presler 940 runs very hot and im using a Scythe 120mm @ 46.5CFM ,just enough for 1.425v ,Quote:
