New Beta BIOS available
Normally I'd be one of the first ones all over that...but alas...still no rig up and running other then the barely functional P2-350 at home. :(Quote:

doesn't sound like much of an update though.
"Improving NF4EDB25 HELP Error message."
Haha, did anyone get ahold of it in time? :p:Quote:

That's why (when I had my 6800GT) I would download the dozens of different driver revisions and run tests on each...even if there's a half dozen beta/un-official smaller releases found somewhere, you never know.Quote:

Still, wouldn't hurt if we had a few guinea pigs to compare OC's before and after. Like I said before, you never know. ;)
:D But it wasn't when I was writting => strange things happen to DFI server - it's not the first time
I seen the bug I think there referring to. In the first bios screen (standard cmos settings) when you set the date and time the help screen would display weird ascii charecters. Even as you scroll down the drive settings weird charecters would be displayed.
Seen it in the 11/22 bios too.
Kinda funny actually, looking at it in a certain sense, DFI's making it look like they have not a single practicle/performance aspect of the boards/BIOS that they could improve...so they're spending their time fixing help messages.Quote:

This way is too long and because I use XP-120, it's very hard to put the second ram off. Can anyone suggest me a better way-out without putting off the second ram?
When I used memtest(test#5 for 2-3 hours), my ram tested in DDR500 there is a strange happened to me;
my ram twinmos speed premium utt ch-5 (p/n : AA4T) pc3200 2x256MB
I set htt muti x3, mem divider200(1:1), 2-2-2-5 1T 3.33v
if I use cpu multi x7 so many errors found
but if I set cpu multi x10 no error found
Anyone here have an experience like me?
Please give me a solution.
Also anyone know the good setting for utt ch-5 in DFI NF4 SLI-DR EXPERT?
THANKS.
I'll recive the Xpert tomorrow. Should I flash to 2005/12/07 bios as soon as possible? Is there any problem with the shiped bios? I'm confused about all those killed cpu's :S
I wouldn't recommend an immediate flash. I have used 3 Expert mobos that run perfectly with the shipped BIOS. Rememebr the golden rule...if it ain't broke don't fix it. The two beta BIOSes out now offer nothing of an improvement in my opinion. I have 1 air, 1 water, and 1 phase change cooled Expert running along under various overclocks just fine with shipping BIOS...for what its worth.Quote:

why doesn't DFI acknowledge that there is a low temp reading issueQuote:

I have no idea why some boards (like yours) read low (or fluctuate) but some do.
The readings between SG, Speedfan, Everest, and MBM5 don't differ much so it's a board or bios problem it seems. Sensor names are incorrect or just not labeled on some of the other programs but the readings (and problems) are always similar.
Just a shame that mobo makers can't give us more accurate readings.
I think, DRAM BANK Interleave is not working with Expert.
Compare the bandwidth with DRAM BANK Interleave Enabled and Disabled.
It won't change.
I hope the next BIOS fix this problem.
