It seems these 939 opty's are pretty slick and have strong memory controllers, a good San Diego should also do well.

Chances are, if you RMA'ed the ram, your gana get a pair with no problems. As for a DC Opteron, lil too expensive for my taste. Another thing it could be, as Eric (Ryder) was saying, a board to IC problem, which I am starting to doubt though.Quote:

FEAR, COD2, Q4, and the latest nvidia drivers are all supposed to have optimizations for dual core processors tho

i've had a little play with them...
i can memtest them at 269MHz, but if i try 270, i keep getting errors at the end of test 5
i can boot into windows at 261-265 (cpu multi 10x), but when i get to the desktop my monitor starts flicking on and off :confused: , 260MHz and below is fine :shrug:
at the moment i'm running at 11x250 and it seems more stable than with my geil memory (crappy hynix)

i would've liked to get 265x10, or 270x10 (my temps @2750 peak at 50-52C), but i'm not sure if my memory controller is limiting me :shrug:

you think my 3200 winnie can handle these at 250fsb. i ordered these acouple of weeks ago, but there not in yet and i'm having second thoughts.
my board is a AB0 BTW
my RMA replacements get here tomorrow. I'll post up my results by tomorrow night...
UPDATE: I now have the replacement sticks in, and they are running great! 3-3-2-7 @ 260 no problem 3D or otherwise. Just finished running a SuperPi 32M too and all is stable!
Can you hit any higher? I mailed out my sticks today, so i hope OCZ gets them on tue.

you should be happy, this means that it was the sticks themselves that were lacking, and most likely not the CPU or motherboard. Just pray you get good ones from your RMA!

Atacom is a good vendor. Ive bought all of my OCZ mem through them, except for these sticks, which i got from Monarach.. It also took over 10 days. Buy from Atacom.Quote:
